Rauhallinen mökki Pohjois-Devonin maaseudulla, lähellä merta

Shippen on viihtyisä, mutta erittäin tilava omakotitalon muuntaminen rauhallisella maaseudulla lähellä Hartlandia, Pohjois-Devonia, helpon matkan päässä Hartlandin laiturista ja muista paikallisista rannoista. Mökki on yksityisellä kadulla kaukana päätieltä, pienitilan sisällä. Siellä on 2 tilavaa makuuhuonetta, yksi pohjakerroksessa ja toinen yläkerrassa. Yläkerran aulassa on viides sänky, joka sopii lapselle tai teini-ikäiselle. Jokaisessa makuuhuoneessa on oma kylpyhuone. Siellä on iso avoin olo / ruokailuhuone, jossa on puupoltin, ja viherhuone, joka johtaa nurmikolle ja terassille ja josta on näkymät kentät ja metsän läpi. Puupoltin ja lattialämmitys tarkoittavat, että majoitus on ihanteellinen mihin tahansa vuodenaikaan. Hyvin käyttäytyvät koirat ovat tervetulleita.
Tämä mökki sijaitsee kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta North Devon Coast. Majoituspaikka tarjoaa asiakkaille esimerkiksi pyykinpesutilat. Mökissä tarjoaa ilmaisen Wi-Fi-yhteyden ja keittiön.

Lovely cottage beautiful surroundings!! Quiet and peaceful, spotlessly clean and comfy!

Penny the host very nice and told us about local sights to see and local Pubs with good food! Hartland point is wild and rustic also st nectams the church on way down to point is well worth a stop would definitely stay here again

Had a lovely relaxing week here, plenty of space. Everything you could.possibly need. Owner extremely welcoming and helpful. Although property is remote and is surrounded by lovey countryside, it is fairly central to many interesting and beautiful places to visit.

September Holiday

A quiet, comfortable, spacious and well equipped barn conversion with all that is needed for a restful holiday. Plenty of space for small children to run around, both indoors and outdoors. The area is a cliff walkers paradise but parking car parking is sometimes quite limited. Penny, the owner, was always about to give advice and the eggs were super fresh.

A great stay in a beautiful, comfy, home!

We loved our stay with Penny! The home had all the things we needed to be comfy and was really beautiful. The wood stove was great (might have contributed to some dust on the floor, but really a tiny issue)! We had intended to hike a lot but were rained out; no matter as we spent a lot of time just relaxing in this great house. Penny is also an incredible host. Very communicative and kind. She had to check on something in the house while we were out and was incredibly covid-safe, airing out the house in-between, wiping things down, etc.... We really appreciate that. Highly recommend staying with Penny!

We had a lovely week in this beautiful, peaceful place tucked away in the countryside and not far from the incredible Hartland coast. The house is comfortable, everything we wanted, and is full of special touches, artworks, books etc. Our host Penny was so welcoming and friendly to us throughout our stay. We hope to return!

Quiet location, ideal for relaxing break. Penny and her husband made us feel very welcome .

Very spacious cottage, ideal for the four of us and could easily accommodate 6. Facilities couldn't be faulted. Ideal resting place to explore the local attractions, coastline and within easy reach of Devon and Cornwall's AONB. Amazing coastline views for day trips. We would definitely stay at Penny's again when next visiting such a lovely and hospitable part of the country with it's own rich cultural history.

Generous cottage in a secluded location near to both Devon & Cornwall places of interest

Lovely, spacious cottage, generous with both facilities and little touches (plenty of tea bags for example) the weather wasn’t kind to us, but we used it as an excuse to enjoy the log burner. Penny was very friendly and helpful and we had a lovely time, already thinking about coming back.

Wonderful few days in perfect cottage

We had a wonderful few days at The Shippen. So much so that we actually extended our stay. Penny and her husband are friendly, so helpful and were really patient and understanding with us. We felt so welcome. Thee cottage is a very generous size with two bathrooms, two bedrooms and room for a fifth person or child. But despite its size, it is so cosy. We had an amazing first holiday with our 7 month old baby. Penny and The Shippen took all our stresses away.

Wonderful

What a lovely place for a relaxing break! The cottage had everything we needed and more, and was clean and cosy. Such a peaceful location, but within easy reach of many lovely walks/attractions. Penny greeted us to show us around and make sure we were comfortable, and we were welcomed with eggs and cake - delicious. We don’t normally revisit the same place twice, but I have a feeling we will make and exception here and return. Thanks for a lovely break.

Relaxing Retreat

Excellent cottage absolutely everything you need, very comfortable beds for a good sleep and a nice gesture of cake and eggs on arrival. Penny on hand if you need to ask anything and doesn't intrude on your holiday at all. Lovely surroundings and plenty of interesting places to visit .
