Long wait to check in. Also I picked the pay at the resort option at booking. 2 days before my scheduled stay, I received a phone call stating that my card was declined and If I didn't prepay, my reservation would be cancelled. I was fine with paying early but why allow the option if it is not an option. I also asked if this was due the holiday but she said no, was their usual policy.
Moving on. I was also hit with an additional fee the customer service rep could explain. I explain that I booked through Expedia and that the price I received was supposed to be the price in full. After 10 minutes of him figuring it out when I was forced to pay early, she didn't charge me the correct amount. If I could have gotten my money back at this point I would have and stayed at the Nugget.
Moving on, room was okay but upon returning after midnight the whole floor smelled of smoke and was loud TV and music blasting. No help was given at this point customer service siting the holiday. The rules specifically state quiet hours after 10 on the room floors. This was the initial reason for this booking so my child could sleep after the festivities.
The hotel let me down, Expedia let me down. Never been so disappointed 😞
