Welcome to Gruenhagen Bay Lodge, a classic Northwoods lake home with modern comfort and unbeatable lake views. This three-bedroom, two-bath retreat sits right on the shores of Long Lake in Birchwood, Wisconsin, and offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway with family or friends.

The open-concept main living area is filled with natural light thanks to large windows that frame sweeping lake views. You'll enjoy the comfortable furnishings, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped kitchen that makes meals easy to prepare and enjoy together. With three private bedrooms and two full bathrooms, the home sleeps six guests comfortably.

Step outside to enjoy coffee or evening drinks while looking over the water. The home offers a beautiful lakeside yard, great sunset views, and a private dock for your boat. The shoreline is perfect for fishing, swimming, or just soaking in the peace and quiet. A fire pit adds the perfect touch for s’mores and stargazing. There’s also plenty of parking space, including room for trailers if you’re bringing ATVs, boats, or snowmobiles.

A Note About Dogs:

We LOVE dogs and we want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members :) Up to two dogs are allowed at this cabin with prior approval; an additional fee applies. That being said, please be mindful of whether our home is appropriate for your dog(s).

We may not be the vacation rental for you if your dog:

Considers barking to be a favorite pastime

Chews things other than bones

Likes to visit the neighbors unsupervised (we do not have a fenced-in yard)

Or uses the house as a bathroom

We ask that your dogs be supervised when at the cabin and crated when you are not. Also, it should not need to be said (but unfortunately needs to be), PLEASE pick up after your dogs. It is NOT the responsibility of our cleaners.

Gruenhagen Bay Lodge can also be rented with the neighboring Bear Cub cabin, a charming two-bedroom home located just next door. This setup is perfect for larger families or friend groups who want to stay close but still enjoy their own space.

And when you're ready to head into town, the communities of Rice Lake, Hayward, Spooner, Shell Lake, and Birchwood are all within a 30-minute drive. Each town offers a mix of great restaurants, local shops, bowling alleys, roller rinks, movie theaters, and more.
