Better than expected

The hotel was a lot better than I expected. Great value and a wonderful old, historical building. I really liked the interior, there must be so much history there. Check in staff member was friendly, but forgot to tell us anything about breakfast, we had to go back and ask later. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t in the main hotel building, but an unattractive block out the back. Still, the room was quiet and spacious with loads of storage. Very clean although could do with some updating. Great nights sleep. The only downside was the toilet seat which was ill fitting and slipped around all over the place. Plus the fact we could hear our neighbours through the bathroon vent, like they were in the same room! Excellent breakfast, everything you could want and good quality ingredients. Overall, surprisingly good stay. Close to some local restaurants. I can recommend Soofi, a Persian restaurant which was wonderful, 5 mins walk away.

great spot and 4 mins walk from photo shop.

Reception guy super welcoming, room was ready on arrival, kitchen had just closed but they made food for me, bar open, kept checking all was ok with myself and colleague, breakfast staff were super nice and helpful, very accommodating. parking secure and only £15 for whole of next day, very pleasant staff and stay.

Delightful spot to rest and relax!

Nice clean room, was upgraded to an Executive room which was a nice bonus. No air conditioning and it was extremely warm in the room. A fan was provided. Reception gracefully gave us 2 jugs of milk for tea and were as kind and courteous as always! Bathroom was stocked with towels, shower gel and some lotions and a bar of hand soap. There was a breakfast option for £13.50, which we chose not to have this time. Check out was a simple card drop box. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Great For Arena and City Centre

Good location for the Utilia Arena, 15 mins walk. Friendly check in, good sized clean room. Breakfast staff were very polite, food was excellent, good choice, cooked properly with everything available. Only downside was not being able to open the windows, fan helped, it was very hot!
