Nicely Restored Historic House in Good Location
The house has been remodeled, and its new interiors are very well designed. Very roomy and a great kitchen. Nice historical features. It is in a good location but getting a little close to some dodgy areas of Birmingham. But Birmingham is on the list of high crime cities, so I don’t hold it against this house’s location. Where we couldn’t walk, Uber was able to take us. A plus, was the ideal location to visit The Garage. It is a cool locals joint with great sandwiches and drinks. We were able to walk around the corner to it during a rainstorm for a beer. The house is walkable to Five Points where restaurants are, a short 20 minutes on foot. This house is perfect if you want to visit that particular area. A flaw is the exterior’s front. The hedges were overgrown and made the house a bit abandoned looking, even our Uber driver commented. Some interior lighting had bulbs out or didn’t work. We did report it, but no one came to replace any. Last is the strange note from management to “always keep the basement door locked”. Well that’s creepy. Of course we made jokes, referencing multiple slasher movies. Management: if there are issues with squatters or Michael Myers coming in, get a more secure basement door with a keyed deadbolt. Why leave it to the renter to be responsible? A renter would never need nor want to go down in that basement. All in all, we did have a good stay. I would recommend it. …just keep the basement door locked.

Easy and accessible
The location of this property was easy to find. Parking on the side was tight for two cars, but doable. It was good for the one night we stayed, and had everything we needed (but coffee).
