Just got back from a stay that felt like a dream birthday treat and retreat. The hotel was cosy, beautiful. The ground was so peaceful, it felt like time slowed down. Every corner invited calm and rest. Above all though, was the staff. They were genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to help. It surpassed my expectations. I can’t recommend New Hall enough.

I’ve stayed at a few handpicked hotels and I don’t think this hotel met its usual standard. Mainly because the hotel was tired and needed a make over. Staff were friendly and although breakfast was slow the lady at front of house was great.

Over priced for the level of service received. Service was extremely slow and bar area had no atmosphere. Rooms need a major upgrade. Beautiful building and surroundings but could be made so much better. Gardens and golf course have been neglected. Disappointing experience overall.

The hotel is quite dated but still maintained at a very good standard. The property was clwan and the exec room was quite spacious. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely.

Perfect in every way!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were so friendly which added to the perfect environment. My room was very clean and perfectly positioned to catch the light in the morning. I had the most luxurious massage (thanks Stephanie) and I'm already planning my next visit. The grounds are immaculate and I loved seeing the ducks in the moat. Kris and Gemma were on the front desk. They were very attentive and appear to genuinely love there job. Overall, my visit to New Hall Hotel & Spa was perfect in every way.

Beautiful property, room had constant noise due to big fans outside window. Stayed in Sirius, beautiful room but not if you are a light sleeper. Bar service was extremely slow as there was not enough staff. Staff were lovely just not enough of them and it wasn’t overly busy so that was not the problem. Spa and breakfast were very nice

Positives were food at dinner + service from experienced staff. Junior staff definitely needed more training. Negatives - check in very slow/inefficient, no aircon in bedrooms, lots of dirty crockery/glassware on tables on terrace + bedroom corridors. Overall poor value for money. Felt that hotel focus was on business meeting/groups at the expense of individusls/couples
