Fantastic staff, brilliant gym facilities and we loved our Club Room upgrade for free! Fantastic stay. Our only issue would be that our towel hooks were broken so towels kept falling on the floor, but that’s a quick fix and had no impact on our overall stay.

A great modern hotel ideal for a family stay

This was the first time at a Village Hotel and I must say how impressed I was with the whole experience. From cost through to ambience to facilities and an easy manor to a simple checking in and out procedure. Well done Village Hotels we’ll defo be back using you 👍

Room was ok, fire door bar on our room came off and nearly hit us. The beaded rope for the blinds also fell apart so we had to roll blinds up. Food was ok, same old as every other pub but no gluten free option for friend ( it’s pretty common now to accommodate everyone) pool was fine, public areas were fine, staff were friendly. Possibly wouldn’t stay again.

Enjoyed my stay

Very nice room, comfortable bed and loved the little touches on arrival. The food was excellent and pool was great. My tv didnt work for channels in my room, it was late so i didnt call anyone to sort it, so im not complaing about that as i used my laptop, just noting it. Floorboards in the bathroom are starting to lift i assume from water from the shower

Stayed at better village hotels

This village hotel looked tired in the corridors etc & the bathroom was a little dated although clean. There was little customer service received when checking in to the swimming pool as a hotel guest.. no directional signs to family change or instructions on where to go. Swimming pool was good… slippery on poolside and in the poolside showers though. Good check in and out service- very quick. Hotels info about parking and breakfast is out of date on hotels app.

Bit out of the way

For the amount of staff on getting a drink was a joke. 3 and 4 people waiting at the bar and other staff messing about. Dart board but no oche and a table on top. Whats the point in that. Village hotel sponsors the darts?
