Brooklands Over 50’s has certainly seen better days and the owner needs to spend some time and money on the place as it needs totally updating. The staff were not expecting us and the place was not ready to receive guests. If it wasn’t for managers Darren & Kate we would have left immediately and gone somewhere else. I wouldn’t return and in its current state wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. However, Darren and Kate made the best of a really bad situation, they couldn’t do enough to apologise and make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible and the breakfast was excellent.

The room was dirty and i dont think the hotel posess a hover , there was no lounge or bar as advertised the hotel had a punget smell throughout and was very run down with the central heating not working. Breakfast was good but small,owners looked unkept themselves. How the place has 3 stars amazes me and false advertizing a lounge and bar and none of either with no seating area is a joke. 1 star would be 1 to many

Hotel was disgusting,filthy not seen a hover for months,no hot water,so unable to have a shower,room not cleaned or replenished during stay,breakfast was a disaster,late and lacking ingredients,overall wouldnt recommend!

The whole place smelt strongly of damp,had a neglected Aire about it..the room was lower end but apart from general cleanliness at the price given proper cleaning would have been acceptable Having knocked the keys off the bedside draws I reached down to get them and a USED HYPODERMIC NEEDLE went into my hand DRAWING BLOOD(not something I've ever used). We're far from fussy but could not recommend this place under its current " management/staff. Breakfast was acceptable but very portion controlled!! We left early...just hope I haven't brought Hepatitis or HIV away as a souvenir

Broadlands Blackpool

The breakfast was a full English Breakfast or Cereal. The room had plenty of storage. Tea and Coffee making facilities and friendly hosts.

No heating on when arrived to room. Heating put on at 10pm. Found hairs in the bed linen. Beds changed at 11.15pm. Hairs found on milk jug. No hair nets worn by staff. Dirty clothes and messy hair also. Greeting when we arrived by a man was shocking just asked what we wanted for breakfast. Staff went into room to conduct maintenance without permission when we had left the hotel to go on a walk. No bar or entertainment on in the evening. Furniture untidy. When we complained at 11.15pm owner said if you are not happy go find another hotel. We are 67 and 62.

Lovely room beautiful breakfast and very friendly staff they excelled the place needs tidying up carpets etc they are doing a big renovation and making a grand job of it needs the stairlift fixing but overall a really good experience such a lovely friendly place

Could do with a good clean, mainly carpets. But bed comfy (but noisy) hot water is luke warm after running tap for 10 mins to get it luke warm, best b+b breakfast i have ever had thou and on that note i will be returning

As it was an over 50’s Hotel it really was excellent for the price, the manager and the staff we met could not do enough for you, nothing was to much to ask, the breakfast was lovely and well prepared, coffee and tea really hot. My wife was in a wheelchair so we where given a ground level room with access through the back with zero stairs.
