What a cool place! The hotel was beautiful with some very unique features . The room was spacious enough for our family and the location was perfect. All the staff were friendly and helpful Not a deal breaker for us but an onsite restaurant or pool would have made it even better! I would go back and recommend!

The location is perfect for a family reunion. The hotel is a landmark that can’t be ignored. Staff could not have been more accomadating. Even with elevator upgrades in process the ambiance was still impressive.

Great Hotel Location-Bad Room Location

This hotel is in a great location, the bed is very comfortable and the room is nice. HOWEVER, we ended up with a room on the first floor facing a restaurant with live music and right next to the breakfast area. As much as this hotel costs no one should have to stay in this particular room (102). You can't even open the window shades because people can look right into your room. We were also woken up early every morning hearing the door to the breakfast room opening and closing as staff was getting things ready. The frustrating thing is, we called the hotel directly about three weeks before our stay asking for a room on a high floor and was told that wouldn't be a problem. When we got there we were told we were on the first floor and to check back the next morning. Next morning we were told they didn't have enough staff to let us change rooms try again the next day. The next day, same thing. They finally called us after we left that day to say we could change rooms but would have to come back and gather everything up let them hold our bags and then later they would have it ready. It wasn't worth it by then because we were on our way to a tour and couldn't go back. I asked for a break in cost or a free night later and they said they would try. Once again no help in the end. In my opinion, a hotel that costs this much should take better care of their customers. We did get some points on our Marriott Convoy account but not much. Very disappointed in the management at this hotel.

New Favorite Boston Hotel

I can't believe I've never stayed at a Marriott Vacation Club before. The Custom House in Boston was an incredible experience, and everything was brilliant. From the extremely helpful concierge, Monika, to the very easy valet parking, to the wonderful room with incredible views, it was just an extremely enjoyable experience. The play place for the kids was super helpful in allowing them to burn off some excess energy before bedtime, and the view from the top floor was undeniably gorgeous. I can't wait to plan my next trip and stay here again.

Great hotel and great staff. The rooms are first-come, first-served, so if you are given a lower room (we received one on the 1st floor), kindly ask to be switched to a higher room the next day. They were great about that. Very large rooms, clean and spacious - perfect for a family traveling!

This hotel is such a great hidden gem! We LOVED the observation deck and the history throughout the hotel. The rooms were well maintained and the high ceilings make the room seem so much bigger. It’s steps from Quincy market and Faneuil! We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Boston

Excellent location! Superb concierge service!

Excellent location! Just a block from all main amenities. Beautiful hotel! Super clean and great service. The only reason why I’m giving a 4 star is because of the breakfast. Extremely simple. It is more like a Cafe place where you have to pay for a muffin or make your own egg. Luckily there’s plenty of cafes around the area.

Those who appeared to be residents of the Custom House 5th floor and above were not as friendly as the staff. The continental breakfast was a pay A La Cart, instead of included in the price. The location was exactly what we wanted. We were able to get everywhere's in Boston that we wanted to and a very walkable location to everything
