Top Rated Charming MT Cabin w Hot Tub, 10min Dwtn, MSU, 1hr Big Sky/Yellowstone
Wonderful. Charming. Cozy. Hard to leave. These are the words our guests use to describe us. Nestled in the forest just one exit off of Main Street, Bear Creek Log Cabin is truly a hidden gem offering the real Montana experience for those looking for the BEST of ALL worlds: Proximity to town and MSU (10 min), ski resorts (45min), close to Yellowstone and Big Sky, surrounded by nature, wildlife, unpolluted views of the milky way and shooting stars right from the comforts of the hot tub while listening to the relaxing rushing waters of the creek a few steps away. Come unwind in our luxurious cabin. Our guests often extend their stays and wish they could stay longer!
Under new ownership and completely restored, this charming 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, 1500 square foot Rocky Mountain Trapper Style Bear Creek Log Cabin was constructed 30 years ago with lodge pole pine trees harvested from this 10 acre property bordering Bear Creek & State Forest land and with a running creek known to have Brown & Rainbow Trout in the deeper pools. Often you will see moose, white tail deer, elk, and once in a while black bears. They especially like to feast on the berry bushes that are scattered throughout the property. There are also some wild turkeys who love to stop by for a visit as well as chipmunks, squirrels and a variety of birds.
LIVING AREA ~ The living room boasts a vaulted log ceiling with a ceiling fan and remote sure to please all your temperature needs, super comfortable leather sofas you won't want to get up from, and a cozy warm wood stove. Relax after a long day exploring the area hearing the crackling of the wood in the winter months or enjoying the cool breeze with a movie. We've upgraded our internet service to Fiber Optic to bring the latest technology into the wilderness. We have HD TV with DirectTV, Roku with many different channels, DVD/Video Player and the top rated intelligent assistant from Amazon Echo ready to play music of your liking at the command of your voice. Outside the fire pit/grill and campfire seating is ideal for a real 'Western' cookout. Firewood provided. Slate patio dining with 2 patio heaters and a TRAEGER! The IT smoker/grill of anyone looking for top notch BBQ flavors. We want only the best for our guests so are excited for this new addition. Bring your own meats, or better yet, enjoy the catches of your day adventures for supper.
KITCHEN ~ The cabin has a large galley style kitchen with dining room fully stocked with everything you will need and want to prepare even the most elaborate meal. There's a glass cook stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, Keurig, toaster, wine glasses, and all of the cookware and utensils, dishes & glassware you need sure to please all chefs. You bring your clothing, personal toiletries, and buy your food at a local supermarket, which is a 10 minute drive to downtown Bozeman. The Cabin also has a washer/dryer plus all of the laundry supplies for operation for the convenience of our guests.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS ~ The Cabin has 2 levels with both bedrooms located upstairs and bathrooms, kitchen and living area downstairs. It has comfortable mattresses. The main bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen and a full-sized beds. And there is a queen sized pull out sofa in the living room with an upgraded memory foam topper. We have luxury cotton bed linens for a great nights sleep as well as fluffy bath linens and oversized hot tub towels. We can comfortably accommodate 8 adults (sharing 4 beds) and 2 kids in cot/pack-and-play.
PETS ~ We're an animal friendly facility and welcome any well behaved pets to enjoy our home and large backyard as long as they live by our simple pet rules. However, all pets must check in as there are additional fees based on the number of pets checking in ($200 for first, $100 ea after).
WHAT TO DO ~ We have terrific mountain biking, ATV, snowmobiling, horse back riding and hiking opportunities on State Land just under one mile away right off the main road into the cabin. Hyalite Canyon cannot be missed, especially if you enjoy climbing a frozen waterfall in the winter. Summit Sports offers ATV and snow mobiles rentals to our front door when available. Enjoy fishing, white-water rafting, paddle boarding, canoeing, floating the Madison river and all the Gallatin Valley has to offer. Bozeman Smithsonian affiliated Museum of the Rockies boasts T-Rex skeletons and more. Simply a MUST for families with kids. And a short 30 minute drive ends your evening well soaking in your choice of 12 pools at the Bozeman Hot Springs where you can catch live music performances (and food trucks during summers) on Thursday and Sunday evenings. In the summer months, Bozeman parties hard soaking in the warm sunshine to last through winter. The cabin has an exclusive tablet for the use of our guests with all this information, house rules, host recommendations and more.
