Perfectly located just minutes from the Bremerton-to-Seattle ferry terminal, this stunning vacation home offers easy access to the vibrant heart of downtown Seattle, while also being just an hour away from the breathtaking hiking trails of the Hood Canal. Whether you`re craving city adventures or outdoor escapes, this is the perfect launch point.

The Carmichael House is more than just a place to stay—it`s an experience. This one-of-a-kind home is thoughtfully divided into two distinct yet seamlessly connected sides. On one side, step back in time with vintage Victorian charm, full of whimsical flair and rich history. It`s the ideal setting for a cozy tea party, elegant gathering, or simply enjoying the timeless beauty of a bygone era.

On the other side, you’ll find modern luxury at its finest. The updated kitchen, primary suite, and main living spaces are beautifully designed to offer all the comforts and conveniences you’d expect—from high-end appliances to stylish finishes—perfect for guests who don’t want to sacrifice comfort for character.

With four spacious bedrooms, two inviting living rooms, a chef’s kitchen, and multiple patios, there’s plenty of room for families, friends, or couples to spread out and relax. Step outside to enjoy stunning Puget Sound views and epic sunsets from the decks or gather around the campfire for cozy s’mores under the stars.

Just steps from the beach, guests can take advantage of provided kayaks and stand-up paddleboards to explore the surrounding waters. Whether you`re here for a weekend retreat or a longer escape, the Carmichael House offers an unforgettable mix of adventure, relaxation, and timeless charm.

Guests will have access to the entire home, except for the basement storage area.

We pride ourselves with being very communicative upon your request, however we do not intend to disturb your stay unless there are concerns.

We had a very unique experience. The house is charming. It is massive, with plenty of room for everyone in the family to spread out. We were blessed with some amazing sunsets. We loved getting on the water with the paddle boards. We were able to make some great family memories. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your big, beautiful home.

Beautiful - home. Spacious comfortable- breathtaking views. Well equipped. We enjoyed every part of the home and its history. The only issues the front door lock did not work. The front patio door did not have a key. The Keurig coffee maker did not work. And the roller shade in the upstairs bedroom w the cupola came off the roller when my daughter tried to pull it down. We enjoyed our stay - found ways around the issues.

Well Appointed, Fantastic Location

We loved our stay with our family - 3 kids under 18 and 3 adults - and our dog. The home has a combination of vintage character and modern comfort. It’s super well stocked - we loved the bathroom supplies, the kitchen had EVERYTHING you would expect and lots you’d hope for, and almost every random thing you want in a vacation spot was there: a gas fire table, a (modern) wood fire pit, multiple different seating / chill areas both outdoors and indoors, huge yard… even potty bags located strategically everywhere you’d want them for the dogs. The home also has a backstory that was fun to read about and explained the unique, charming character of different parts of the home. The water toys were clutch, and you’re steps away from being on the beach or water… grab the kayak / paddle board, walk about 2 minutes to the shore, and enjoy! Communication with the hosts was great… we’d highly recommend this spot to families.
