Likes: Easy to find motel. Close to eateries. Well laid out tidy room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Windows that opened in room. Smoking balcony on each floor. Dislikes: Food crumbs under dining table in room. Flying insects in room on arrival. Drink dispenser was advertised but not found. Ice machine, when found, not functioning. Gardens and grass out front over grown and rubbish visible.

The room was tiny, shower was the smallest I have ever been in. The room had a rancid smell (apparently the new carpet). There was no dining or even eating facilities nearby. My room overlooked the main road, so even opening the windows to try and get rid of the smell was fraught with issues (noise, road smell, vehicle exhaust etc.). All in all an unpleasant stay and I wont be back.

Great place to stay if you need to be close to the airport. The hotel is located in a nice upscale neighborhood, and is within 5 min of an embankment and a street full of restaurants. Hotel is nice, quiet, and clean

Cyclone Alfred to hit Brisbane

With Cyclone Alfred due to impact Brisbane and close Airport I canceled reservation at Airport Ascot Motel since we were scheduled to fly out of Brisbane. I canceled more than 24 hours in advance of check-in. Ascot Motel's Management refused repeated appeals by Hotel.com to not charge for rooms due to Cyclone Alfred's impending impact. That is very poor Customer Service.

Perfect for a layover

I had a short one-night stopover. This is basic, but to me, it was perfect. Wayne was wonderful and very communicative. This Motel is a short walk to some great bars and restaurants. I reccommend.
