Felt the hotel was very tired. Breakfast on Sunday there were no ceramic mugs and when I asked a staff member they said there are no more you will have to use a takeaway mug …. Not good enough! Asked another if we could have dinner forks to eat our breakfast was looked at as if I was stupid … “what’s wrong with the one you have?” (It was a small dessert fork that they had set the table with). Dinner on Saturday night my entree was cold (seared scallops with roasted cauliflower - I would have thought this should have been hot! The hotel though is in a great position, is easy to get to if driving to Brisbane and we will stay there again. Are there rooms that have “walk in showers” - as one gets older stepping up and into a bath to shower is NOT good. Thank you.

Check-in was lenghty, waited about 20-25 mins, having same reception to Check-in both properties isnt efficient, but the staff were doing their best. Rooms are not sound proof, elevators are very slow. Overall we needed accommodation at last minute and Mecure was sufficient.

The rooms were very tired with broken fixtures. The bathroom had a cracked sink, mould between the sink and the bench, the toilet seat was loose and moved when you sat on it, the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall, the shower had very poor patch work and no shelving. The hotel has moved to pump packs for soap etc and they aren’t refilled so ours ran out mid stay and wasn’t replaced by housekeeping. Curtains in the rooms were broken and the control panel for the air conditioning was broken. The aircon also didn’t circulate in the room resulting in one bed being very hot and the other receiving all the cold air. Hallways were dirty, plates and crockery in the buffet breakfast were unclean. Often only one of the three lifts was “working” resulting in lengthy waits and the screens in the lift to show floor number either didn’t work at all or displayed wrong information. Overall the hotel was in poor condition compared to others in the same price point and believe the photos shared by the hotel are misleading.

Nice enough hotel, but could do with a bit of TLC, but good enough at that price point. Great location, and easy access to public transport. I would stay there again.
