When i first checked in, there was random papers left on the desk by the previous guest. I am assuming the room was never cleaned. There was never anyone at the front desk. I only had one towel. One morning random girl walked in while I was still sleeping and then said "sorry I thought this was my room". Housekeeping only came on day 4 and replaced only the big towel not the two little ones. And another morning at 7:30 am the manager (I am assuming because she had a suit on) walked in without even knocking before using the keycard to open the door while I was getting dressed and started asking me random questions. I had to check out 2 nights early and find another accommodation after that because I did not feel safe there as a solo female traveler.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was good for a freebie, with croissants, toast, beans, sausages and bacon all available alongside cereals and fruit. Only issue was with the water pressure, shower was. ABIT weak and toilet took a while for cistern to refill after flushing. Three minute walk from temple meads though meant it was very convenient for travel and 15-20min to centre and to Old Vic theatre. Would stay again.

The room was advertised as having a double sofa bed but only had a single which was small and uncomfortable. Dan (the manager) kindly offered us an alternative room to reduce noise and helped us move our belongings. He also checked in with us to see if the room was quieter. Although we were moved to the back of the hotel to reduce noise, the air conditioning unit made a continuous dripping sound and dried the air in the room too much even though it was switched off. Staff at breakfast seemed to struggle to keep everything stocked up. The drink labelled as "apple juice" was more like a squash than a juice. However, the staff who were on duty (including Dan the manager) were doing the best they could.

The staff were lovely. Friendly and attentive. The room was comfortable although it was quite cold and the AC didn't work brilliantly to warm it up. Breakfast was basic but plentiful.

the bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom was a very good size, great for a weekend away. staff were incredibly friendly too. would have liked to have fresh towels everyday though. appreciated the free breakfast but felt it could have been extended to around 10/11am, would have liked more breakfast options too. however, was a great stay overall, good location too and reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the city centre
