About this property

Fifty on Third is a beautifully renovated coastal cabin located in Brownlow, just a short walk to the beach and five minutes from Kingscote township. Ideal for solo travellers, couples or small families, the cabin offers a relaxed and comfortable base for exploring Kangaroo Island.

The space features a spacious king bedroom (with single trundle), a cosy living area with sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchenette including cooktop, microwave and fridge. The open-plan layout is bright, functional and thoughtfully styled with natural coastal touches.

Guests enjoy private access to the entire cabin, along with a separate driveway and off-street parking.

The Kingscote Coastal Walk begins just down the street, perfect for morning walks, birdlife and ocean views. Brownlow Beach is an easy stroll away, and Kingscote’s cafés, restaurants and local shops are only minutes by car.

Popular island attractions including Seal Bay Conservation Park, Flinders Chase National Park and Emu Bay are all within driving distance, making this an ideal location for day trips across Kangaroo Island.

For great coffee, Cactus Kangaroo Island in Kingscote is a favourite local stop. Sunset beach walks along Brownlow are especially beautiful in the warmer months.

Things to know

• Property Layout: Fifty on Third is one of two separate homes on the property. The cottage has its own private entry and driveway. The other home (Azure) is positioned on the opposite side and is not currently available for bookings.

• Septic System: The property operates on a sensitive island septic system. Only toilet paper and human waste may be flushed. Wipes (including “flushable”), sanitary items, paper towel, cotton, floss, hair, food, oil and medication must not be flushed. Any blockage or damage caused will be charged to the booking guest.

• Keys: Please return the key to the lockbox at checkout. Lost keys or call-out costs may incur replacement charges.

• Family Note: Cleaning products are stored in cupboards without child safety locks. Children must be supervised at all times.

• Guest Information: A welcome booklet inside the cottage includes house details and local recommendations.

• Island Travel: We recommend booking your Sealink Ferry when confirming your accommodation, as availability can be limited during peak periods.

• Space Note: The cottage is a cosy one-bedroom space designed for comfort rather than large-scale living.
