Room & Maintenance Issues
On the first night, the room air-conditioning/heater unit was excessively noisy. I contacted the front desk and was assured that a maintenance technician would be sent to attend to the issue. However, no one came. I called again and received the same assurance, but once again, no action was taken.
On the same call, I requested the General Manager’s email address, which was dismissed by the staff member, who stated that it was “not necessary.” Only during this third call was I finally offered a room change.
Poor Service Recovery & Staff Attitude
When I eventually moved rooms, porter assistance was only offered after I had already brought three pieces of luggage down to the lobby myself, by which point the offer was no longer useful. Throughout these interactions, the staff’s attitude was notably nonchalant and lacked any sense of urgency or empathy.
Key Card & Booking Handling Issue
The following day, upon returning to my room, my key card stopped working. At the front desk, I was attended by the same staff member who had checked me in. I was told that this was because I had separate bookings and that I would need to come down again the next day to revalidate my key. When I asked if this would happen again, the response was a casual “yes.”
Overall, this stay was marked by:
• Poor room quality and unresolved maintenance issues
• Dismissive and indifferent staff attitude
• Weak and delayed service recovery
• Inadequate communication
