Spectacular views! This amazing chalet is located on the eastern side of Mt. Mitchell and has a connection to a very special environment that includes deer, bear, and a variety of other creatures and foliage. Located in Alpine Village Resort nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains only three miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this rental offers tranquil, secluded surroundings with spectacular mountain views at 3,250 feet in elevation in an aura of warm hospitality.

The Space:
Beautifully appointed cottage (half of a duplex townhome) with wood burning fireplace (sorry, we cannot supply firewood), TV in three rooms, & free wireless internet access. Fully furnished including a king bed in each room. Optionally, the guest room can be two XL-twin beds instead of a king upon request. All mattresses are memory foam.

Outstanding views from your private deck. Right out the front door, about 50 yards to edge of Pisgah National Forest is a trailhead to Mt. Mitchell and other interconnecting hiking trails.

Great trout fishing within a mile, Mt. Mitchell Golf course within 2 miles, and several national and state parks are nearby offering hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails throughout the mountains.

Full kitchen with most of the dishes, utensils, and appliances you need to cook and serve a meal and store the leftovers. A wide variety of drinkware is also provided. There are spices and oils in the cabinets for your use as well but availability can vary.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the clubhouse pool is available to guests.

Secure Internet password available upon check in in the app. Our internet speeds are 100 Mbps down by 6 Mbps up. This is more than sufficient for typical remote work and video conferencing.

Guest Access:
The spacious and inviting clubhouse as well as the heated swimming pool between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Our unit is close to the clubhouse, heated pool, and gas fire pit.

The Mt. Mitchell hiking trail head starts just 100 ft. from the chalet and goes to the top of Mt. Mitchell (a 3400 ft elevation change). In the living room you will find a binder with information about many of the local area attractions, state parks, restaurants etc.

Getting Around:
There are a couple of parking spaces available directly across from the front stairs to the unit and other spaces available at the nearby clubhouse if needed.

Other Things to Note:
We have a dedicated 20A/110V outlet available on the front porch for charging vehicles. You will need to bring enough extension cord to reach )approx. 30'/10m).

No keys to lose or to return! This property provides secure, keyless entry with an August Smart Lock. You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone, using a unique virtual key or personal entry code issued to you for the duration of your stay.

This vacation home is located directly on a steep mountain ridge and there are hazards relative to staying in a mountain property.
