Tan y Graig on yksi viidestä korotetulla kävelykadulla sijaitsevasta rivitaloista, joista edessä on näkymä teehuoneelle ja takana on eniten henkeäsalpaavat näkymät Snowdonille. Voit nähdä junan matkalla vuoren huipulle ja Welsh Highland -rautatieasemalle kirjaimellisesti takapihan ohi.

Mökissä on puulattia olohuoneessa ja se on kokolattiamatto. Siinä on kolmen istuttava sohva, kaksi nojatuolia, peilipöytä ja avoin kivitakka.

Portaikko on pieni lasku ovet johtavat kahteen makuuhuoneeseen ja wc ja suihkuhuone. Takana olevassa kahden hengen huoneessa on kaksinkertainen ovi, jossa askelmat menevät takapihalle.

Keittiössä on liesi, jääkaappipakastin, mikroaaltouuni, kahvinkeitin, pesukone ja kuivausrumpu sekä hyvä ruokailuvälineiden, astian, lasiesineiden ja keittiötarvikkeiden määrä. Siellä on ilmainen kuitulaajakaista ja Wifi.

Lämmitys tapahtuu sähkölämmittimillä ja viihtyisällä polttimella olohuoneessa paikallisesti ostettujen tukkien avulla. Kaikki liinavaatteet, pyyhkeet ja teenpyyhkeet toimitetaan.

Tan y Graigin vastapäätä sijaitseva kylän teehuone tarjoaa valikoiman aterioita ja välipaloja koko päivän, ja myös koko päivän aamiaisen. Omistajat Menno ja Emma voivat olla lämpimästi tervetulleita. Kyläpubissa on myös laaja valikoima aterioita ja vierasaloja.

Rhyd Ddu on hiljainen kylä A4085: llä, noin 3 mailia pohjoiseen Beddgelertistä, joka sijaitsee Snowdonin ja sitä ympäröivien huippujen juurella. Walesin ylämaan rautatie kulkee Caernarfonista Porthmadociin kylän läpi ja pysähtyy kävelymatkan päässä mökistä.

Yhdellä Snowdonin reiteillä - Rhyd Ddu -polulla - on lähtökohta kylässä, ja Snowdon Ranger -polku on kahden mailin päässä. Alueen suosittuja aktiviteetteja ovat kävely, kiipeily, maastopyöräily, ponivaellus, kalastus, golf ja paljon muuta. Caernarfon on 9 mailin päässä vaikuttavien vuoristomaisemien kautta.

Bangor, Anglesey ja Llandudno ovat noin 30 minuutin ajomatkan päässä mökistä.
Tämä mökki sijaitsee vain lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä kohteesta Rhyd Ddu Path. Majoituspaikka tarjoaa asiakkaille esimerkiksi pyykinpesutilat. Mökissä tarjoaa asiakkaiden käyttöön esimerkiksi ilmaisen Wi-Fi-yhteyden ja keittiön.

Tan Y Graig Review - Our First VRBO Stay

We had a lovely stay at the Tan Y Graig cottage in Rhyd Dhu. The cottage was well appointed with everything that we needed for a five night stay. No complaints from us.A few things to make you aware of:* The steps up to the garden are steep in and you need to take care whether wet or dry. Anyone with weak legs may find the climb a challenge. At the time of our stay....* There was no mobile signal in the village, so mobile internet and mobile phone calls were not an option.* The very close by Cwellyn Arms did not make any WiFi available to bar users, which we thought was a bit mean spirited.* But, the Cwellyn Arms did do some good cask ales

Lovely little cottage

We had a wonderful stay in Rhyd Ddu - the cottage was lovely and the location was perfect for walking. Our dog absolutely loved the garden! I was a bit concerned about the on road parking but it was absolutely fine. The tea room opposite is closed for 2024 and also up for sale (July 2024) which was a bit of a shame but the pub down the road was really nice.

Excellent loaction. Clean comfortable.

Spotlessly clean house with good amenities. Small and cosy. Host very welcoming and responsive. Beds very comfortable and good hot shower! Loads to do in the vicinity - even in the rain. Quirky garden is great.

Can’t find fault

Clean with quality items. Good size bedrooms, cosy lounge with log burner, well equipped kitchen and a fabulous view from back garden. Note: stairs to bedrooms are steep so maybe old or infirm may struggle. Steps to back garden also steep but well worth the climb. Very handy position for North Wales area visits. I would go again and also recommend it to others.

Nice house on perfect location

Very nice house with beautiful garden with perfect view on Snowdon. Walk to the summit from the front door! Nice pub and restaurant across the street, supermarket a few minutes by car. Perfect place for a week, we would liked to stay another week.

Wonderful peaceful stay

So nice to be away again to our favourite part of Wales and glad we chose this property as so handy for all the things we like-walks in woods the coast, mountains. Property is lovely. Everything you require. Hope to get back really soon.

Property was excellent. It was in a great location. It was very clean. We had a superb time. This was spoilt when we arrived home and received an email from the host stating she will be taking £150 from my account within 3-5 days for damage to a table to replace it. We had not used the table whilst there. She could only provide an after photograph of this damage but still insisted we had done it. Feel we are being ripped off. Beware of homes owned by this host. We are both older people who respect other peoples properties and would certainly have reported any damage sustained. This all spoilt what was a lovely break away

Beautiful views

Easy check in, property was clean and well equipped. Care to be taken on steps to the garden especially when wet, but well worth the effort! The views from the garden are spectacular and the property itself is in a lovely village location with walks on the doorstep. I love how this property is also dog friendly and we all enjoyed relaxing in front of the fire in the evenings.

Highly recommend this cottage

If you enjoy hiking and stunning scenery then this is the place to stay in Snowdonia National Park. The cottage has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay with everything thought of. We were able to self-cater very easily. Although there isn't a dining area a table and chairs are provided that you have to set up but as there were only 2 of us we ate on our laps. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden looking onto Snowdon but you have to be able to cope with steep steps ups. The beds are comfortable although the double bed is only a queen. We loved the location being able to walk from the door up Mount Snowdon. And there is a lovely pub and tea room in the village. Sally was very helpful and we would love to return. Highly recommend this lovely cottage which was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. Also a good shower which we appreciated! Many thanks Sally!

Cottage was lovely, the only trouble was being over 75 years old , was not capable to get to the top of garden to see the views, made it once only, did not realise from the right up there was such a climb , other than that it was a great holiday

Location:- This cottage is in a small village in the foothills of Snowdon, there is a pub very close by, but it is more of a restaurant than a village pub. There is a tea room directly opposite ( who also sever a breakfast (not Monday or Tuesday)), but open 10ish (too late for us). The Rhyd-Ddu path is a very short distance away,, and with the exception of the 700m along the ridge (don’t do this if you suffer from vertigo) not too tough. There is easy access to Beddgelert from a 7km walk (starting opposite the train station), and it is a lovely village. Cottage:- This was built for time past, so the door to the kitchen is low, and the stairs are steep. It has everything you need (except a mobile phone signal - O2). WiFi, dishwasher, TV, washing machine. There was plenty of toilet roll, washing up liquid, (and other consumables) that you might need, even the knives were sharpe (or I’ve been too many places where they are blunt). If you venture out into the garden (which if up a steep path) you have a lovely view of the mountain, and can watch the welsh Highland Railway railway trains navigate their way to and from Caernarfon. We visited when it was wet, the cottage has a wood burner, which once lit, gives off an amazing amount of heat (drying our shoes and coats), and is a pleasure to watch.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location

We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It was very well equipped, comfortable beds, kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine was very handy after a day’s outdoor activities. Comfy lounge to relax in, and on days with good weather was pleasant to take the few steps up to garden and view the mountains around Snowdon. Excellent location to be able to do some walks from the front door and be in the hills in a few minutes. Sally was very responsive to queries before we arrived and a quick question when we arrived. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay and relax or use as a base to explore the surrounding area.

Cosy Cottage in Snowdonia

clean, cosy cottage with all the facilities you need for a great stay in this lovely part of Wales. We had a welcome bottle of wine and welsh cakes which was nice. The views from the garden look over Mount Snowdon range and are amazing.
