We stayed in a family room which was very dated. The queen bed was comfortable but the Sofa bed was really poor! It was basically an old sofa with no mattress and the duvet was far too small for the bed. When we complained we were told there was no replacement sofa bed that we could be given! Not really acceptable for 3 nights and when paying so much for the room I’d expect everyone to have a comfortable night!

I was disappointed with my stay at this Novotel, as I expected a higher standard from the brand. The hotel lacks an on-site car park, forcing me to pay £10 for daily parking. Despite informing the hotel in advance about our early check-in, we were not told about an additional fee until arrival, which felt misleading. While our room was upgraded, it was underwhelming, with a poorly designed bathroom featuring a door that didn’t fully close, making it uncomfortable for my wife and me. The breakfast was satisfactory, and most staff were courteous, but overall, I would have preferred staying elsewhere.

Lots of kids running in rooms above and hallways made it quite annoying , also had no shampoo or body wash in the dispensers luckily we were only there for a night so not a big deal still very nice and clean

There was a few issues with the room there was a list of the following items : telephone, shampoo, bottle opener, toilet brush which was disappointing to find there was also no notice to hang on the door also my room was not made at all and had to request for it to be made when I returned in the evening finally there was no lock on the bathroom door.

A nice, clean, modern property at good value for money. The rooms are all quite nice, with lots of essentials like bed-side USB charging. The only two gripes are paid parking (punchy at over 14GBP/night), and the tragic Nescafe in-room coffee.

The junior suite was clean, comfortable and businesslike. The staff were helpful and excellent. However, the conditions of the bar area could be refreshed, as some of the sofas are stained and tired, and others look faded, as befits a hotel that hasn't had a refit since opening. My coffee machine was leaky, which was disappointing. Other than that, all good.

Check in isn’t until 3pm they charge £10 per hour to check in early, we have two infants and had requested two travel cots, I rang before booking to see if this was possible and told yes and emailed 3 weeks before to check again told both times absolutely. We were attending a wedding that day so couldn’t check in until 10pm and then messed about as only one travel cot was provided. The team didn’t seem to understand that we literally had nowhere for our son to sleep, he ended up having to go on the sofa pulled against the bed. Shambles if you ask me as if they couldn’t provide it we could’ve brought our own, for the price I think it was a joke - no compensation not even an apology breakfast which is £18.95 PP!

The property's overall condition appears satisfactory. However, the front desk support was not optimal. There was a lack of essential amenities in the room, including toilet paper, toiletries, and water. The checkout process was positively resolved by Gemmi.
