The location was excellent, the hotel and my room were clean, staff was very professional and helpful. My only issue was that the hotel offered no meals, which is not a problem, however the staff never mentioned that the hotel has a 'sister hotel' half a block away and they serve meals, which are very good. This is something the staff could have let us know, however, this is not a reason to criticize the hotel, I still enjoyed my stay in this beautiful city.

This hotel is located in the beautiful colonial city of Campeche. The hotel has a lovely little pool that is 4 feet deep all around and refreshing in the warmth of this region. The room we chose was large and beautifully decorated. My only reason for a 4 rating was a firm, solid bed, which seems to be the norm in Mexico.

I consider Hotel Plaza Colonial to be one of the nicest hotels in Campeche since it has a great decor, location and staff. The one thing that I noticed is the bathroom plumbing maintenance is not happening. For example, lifting the handle in the bath tub causes a loud vibration that can be heard in the room next door.
