🚨 DO NOT STAY HERE — WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE 🚨 ⭐ 0/5 if that were possible I am writing this review as a serious warning to anyone considering Cyan Cancún Resort. This property is misrepresented online and should not be marketed as a resort — or frankly, as acceptable lodging at all. The most alarming part of our stay was that there were NO accessible electrical outlets in the room. I had to unplug the TV and use my own extension cord just to charge basic devices. That alone should disqualify this hotel from operating. The mini‑fridge did not work — it was hot instead of cold, making it useless and unsafe for storing drinks or food. The curtains and bed pillows were visibly dirty, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. The bathroom situation was even worse: • Terrible plumbing, causing a persistent foul odor • No shower door at all, so water floods the bathroom every time you shower • The overall smell and condition made the bathroom extremely unpleasant to use Before arrival, the hotel ignored emails and phone calls. During the stay, there was no meaningful front‑desk support to address any of these issues. No urgency, no accountability, no attempt to resolve anything. The conditions were so bad that we checked out after just one night and immediately booked another hotel. We moved to Aloft Cancún, which so much better. This hotel is a scam and if you are considering staying here to save some money DONT!!!

We stayed at Cyan Cancun for 2 nights. We were very surprised how nice the hotel was. Beautiful pool area with a well groomed beach. The staff work hard at keeping the hotel clean. We found the staff helpful and pleasant. Although it is an older hotel that could use some updating the hotel was very clean, restaurant food was okay. I was reluctant to book due to the reviews. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed our stay. We had a room with a king size bed that was very comfortable, the room was very clean. The couch in the room was old and stained. Our room overlooked the beach/pool it was a beautiful view. We would definitely stay there again.

We had no hot water the 24 hours of our stay and they did not seem interested in fixing it. The place is cold at night, so the cold water was not appreciated given the price we price we paid. The restaurant has odd hours. Some of the desk staff are great and some are not. One young woman was the best I have encountered, but one young guy seem disinterested.

Our private hot tub "jacuzzi" was just a very large bathtub that took about an hour to fill up with warm water. None of the jets/buttons did anything, which was pretty disappointing since we did pay extra for it. The view of the ocean from the room was great. The breakfast we ordered off the menu in the restaurant was bland. The pool area is nice, and the location right by the beach was also fantastic. Overall we had a wonderful trip. There are only a couple options for food in the immediate area around the hotel, so if we were to do it again we might stay somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I had a great trip until the 10th day despite the few options this hotel had. On our last day, fees were charged for a "stained" towel. This one had makeup on it that goes off very easily, because I do it myself. Indeed, I have always done this at home and it goes to the washing machine. I also heard a lady next to me say that she too had had expenses, despite the bathroom ceiling that was flowing. I have the impression that this hotel greatly benefits from the fact that we are tourists. He takes advantage of our money and the means that we do not have. It's a shame, because the hotel is beautiful and the security guards are nice however, the people at the reception are the opposite. I think that the cost for a towel is not suitable and especially at the price that the hotel cost. I am very disappointed.

Room was okay, spacious bed, clean. Staff was nice and attentive. However, the pictures are not giving Holiday Inn vibe but the real hotel does. Being on a street with bunch of fancy hotel, Cyan has no signs, nothing for new tourists to recognize it. We rented a car and had to drive around for 15 min asking different security staff from neighbor hotel just to find a way in Cyan. Parking lot was small though. Tbh, it fitted the price we paid.

Toilet barely working. If you need to flash, it takes at least 15 minutes!! The view was on the parking ( very noisy) spot, but I booked ocean view. They was trying to charge me for 2 coke which I didn’t drink. Overall hotel is old and dirty. Never will be back !!!! Definitely can’t recommend for anyone!!!
