I recently stayed at your resort and, unfortunately, had multiple disappointing experiences that affected the quality of my stay. Most significantly, the air conditioning in our room was not working for the entire duration of our stay. The resort smells of mildew. Despite reporting it, no effective solution was provided. The room was uncomfortable, especially in the heat, and it made it very difficult to relax or sleep. Additionally, we had a frustrating experiences at Score and Hunter Restaurant. We waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for our meal, with no communication or apology from the staff at both restaurants. When the food finally arrived at Hunter it was lukewarm and not up to standard. In an all-inclusive resort, we expected a higher level of service and quality, and unfortunately, this was not delivered. At Score, our orders were taken and we waited over an hour for nothing, not even a beverage, we just left in disappointment. Given these issues particularly the lack of air conditioning I’m requesting a partial refund or compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort we experienced during our stay. I hope you will take this seriously, as these problems significantly impacted our vacation. We were celebrating our god son’s birthday and this was my son’s first time in Mexico. I could go on and on.. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Very Disappointed

The establishment is gorgeous, what’s done of it. It’s obvious there is work going on. The resort felt very safe, family friendly, and was quiet though. As for what I didn’t like. 1. Resort felt very understaffed, in the dining establishments we wouldn’t see our waiter for at least 30 minutes sometimes. (Terrible) At the pool right below the main lobby 2 waiters for easily 250 people at the pool. (Really?) 2. Resort has only 2 ATM machines? Here’s the kicker, both broken at the same time? No money for guests. Told come to front desk at certain time, they would have. Go and nothing. Told return later at another time. Return and now I’m sorry we already ran out! (Very inconvenient) 3. Pools close at 7pm. (Never heard of that before)

Unfortunately, I found that the staff was not particularly friendly during my stay. This impacted the overall atmosphere and made it difficult to fully enjoy the otherwise stunning property. Additionally, making dinner reservations proved to be quite a challenge, and once we arrived for our reservation, it took over two hours before our food was served. This level of delay was unexpected and disappointing. I believe your property has great potential, and I would have enjoyed the experience much more had the service been more attentive and welcoming. I hope this feedback is helpful, and that future guests will benefit from improvements in these areas.

The resort itself is amazing but when checking in we felt that we were in a sales pitch for 2 hours. The process would have been quick except the hotel trying to sell their timeshares with “cheap” excursion prices if you sat through a 90 minute presentation. We wanted to enjoy our stay and our first day was not what we expected. After the sales pitch, the staff is amazing and very attentive.

I have been to this property many times and this was by far the worst experience ever. Every restaurant we went to was under staff we were unable to get drinks or any support. Went to guest services to get feedback and no improvement. But not recommend anyone to rebook here.

The cleanliness of the resort was far below expectations—our room had a strong mildew smell, the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, and we even found leftover trash from previous guests. The food at the buffet was repetitive and of poor quality. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for relaxation or quality service. This was one of the most frustrating and disappointing vacations I’ve ever had.

Room I paid for and reserved wasn't ready when I checked in. I had to wait for over 24 hrs for the room I reserved. After checking in, jacuzzi tub wasn't safe to use and dirty. TV in living area didn't work. Dirty pillows on the bed.

I love the royalton I’ve stayed at a few so far and I must say this one wasn’t the best that I’ve experienced. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I went for a long weekend to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We got there late Saturday and was leaving on Tuesday. On Sunday we tried to get reservations to eat literally anywhere and they said everywhere was full. It was my mom’s birthday and they wanted us to eat at the buffet which we did every day we were there. They claim no last minute reservations but I was only there a few days so when should I have made that reservation? So I had to take mom to an outside restaurant “puerto madero” which we loved. Another thing the resort could have been cleaner. We saw the same trash in the same place our whole stay. And no vibe team 🙄

Frustrating Dining Experience – Not Worth It Without Diamond Club It’s hard—or almost impossible—to book dinner at the restaurants if you’re not a Diamond Club member. We couldn’t make any reservations without walking around and asking for help. Even more frustrating, when we finally got into a restaurant, we saw lots of empty tables. It really seemed like they were being held for Diamond or Prime Club guests. I don’t see the point of spending this much money just to feel like you have to beg for dinner. This was our second stay at a Royalton resort—our first was in Jamaica, and this time in Cancun. Unfortunately, the experience this time left us very disappointed, especially when it came to dining. For the same price, there are other resorts with similar amenities and much better food access—or you can pay a bit more for a far better overall experience. If food matters to you, book somewhere else.

Check in and check out terrible experience. All property is in really bad condition. Restrooms in lobby looked like public bathrooms. And in order to make a dinner reservation you have to go to guest services and if you are lucky you get a reservation. Worse experience ever! I do not recommend this resort at all. I feel since they are closing in 4 weeks and will reopen under new management all employees are carless

Please do not stay here. The hotel is old, outdated and far from the advertised luxury resort. Upon arrival at 12:00 PM, I was dismayed to discover that guests booking through Expedia were required to check in at a separate location from those who booked directly with the hotel. This process, which initially seemed like preferential treatment, was merely an opportunity for the resort to upsell additional services. While guests who booked directly were allowed early check-in, my party was forced to wait until 3:00 PM, causing significant inconvenience, particularly unacceptable for a loyal Gold VIP member. The condition of the room was utterly deplorable and indicative of gross neglect. The jacuzzi was contaminated with insects and visibly dirty, rendering it unusable. The mirror was chipped and outdated, the bed linens were soiled, and both the bedskirt and couch were in a state of disrepair and uncleanliness. These conditions are entirely unacceptable for any hospitality establishment. In order to book a reservation at the restaurants you need two days notice and you book it through the app. When I arrived the app was not working only for me to find out guest services never activated the room on the app to have access. I raised these concerns with the resort staff for three consecutive days, yet no meaningful action was taken to address or resolve the issues.

We liked the friendliness of the staff and the diamond club definitely was worth it. But we did not like was the fact that a lot of restaurants appeared to not have what the menu advertised or they were out of things other restaurants had. For example, the sports bar didn’t have burgers, but the buffet restaurant 200 feet away did. The app did not match with the TV said as far as activities hours, etc. The swim up bar was constantly out of piña coladas. Not all bars offered the same items so some would have it but others wouldn’t. We kept getting told it would be 10 minutes and they would have it and that was the answer we kept getting and they never did end up having it. The facility was definitely showing its age.
