Over night stay on the way to Leon. The hotel is set in the mountains. We found it to be charming, extremely well kept, and a nice change from city based hotels. The welcome was warm and it was nice to have a beer with the locals while we watched a little soccer.
This is not easy to find - tucked away in the hamlet above Canfin. (Drive past Candin for 1km and there’s a sign on the left).
The hotel has beautiful outdoor seating under a thatch and lovely walks around. But what makes it so special is the quality of the cooking - they do an evening meal for guests, with full use of local products, especially the chestnuts and figs. We had spiced figs in our main dish of perfectly long-cooked beef, and home-made marrons glacé on our delicious lemon pannacotta-type pudding. Thoroughly recommended.

Habitaciones adaptadas a una casa antigua con lo que no son aptas para personas con movilidad reducida, sólo se accede por escaleras y el baño también las tiene.

Inmejorable, nos hemos sentido mejor que en familia. Jorge i Ana están a todos los toques, la comida natural en cantidad bien presentada i muí bien ela orada. El hotel un encanto, el entorno precioso. Para repetir. En una escala de 1 a 10 yo le doi 7000
El lugar, la gente... Es de lo mejor que hemos estado, la sierra de Ancares al lado para hacer rutas de senderismo....

Hemos de decir que por nuestra parte ha sido toda una sorpresa descubrir y tener nuestra primera toma de contacto con el valle de Ancares...la verdad, que estuvimos tan cómodos que por ello prolongamos la estancia dos día más..a la próxima vez que vayamos nos sumergiremos en rutas de mayor dificultad...dar las gracias a Jorge y Ana , por su hospitalidad y buenas formas...un entorno digno de ver y dejarse envolver por su encanto....saludos Javier y Yésica
Luogo ameno immerso nei boschi con possibilitá di passeggiate. Hotel essenziale ma gradevole come struttura e confort. Proprietari gentili e disponibili. Ottima cucina casalinga. Unico neo la difficoltá a raggiungere il luogo a causa di scarse indicazioni stradali.
Enclavado en un lugar precioso. Es un Hotelito de decoración rústica. Lamentablemente en el anunciado "restaurante", el menú (15€) solo consta de un único primer plato, un único segundo plato y un postre. Aun reconociendo que estaba bueno y tierno el segundo (costilla de ternera) es del todo injustificable que la bebida se cobre aparte del precio del Menú (1'30€ el botellín pequeño de cerveza) entrando solo una jarra de agua del grifo en el mismo.
Pero aún siendo, cuando menos extraño el tema del mal llamado "Restaurante", lo más sorprendente es que un lugar que se anuncia como Centro de Interpretación de Pereda de los Ancares, no tenga folletos para dar sobre el pueblo, comarca o provincia. Y la única opción sea la de consulta de la bibliografía que tenía expuesta para su venta o consulta en el Bar o pedirle al dueño consejo y ayuda. En fin, una sensación agridulce, nada que reprochar sobre la atención recibida del dueño. Ni sobre el lugar donde está ubicada la casa rural, pero es muy exagerado calificarla con un 5 sobre 5.
