Comfy and convenient

Breakfast was wonderful with waffles and everything you could want. People there were great. Room was comfy and so was bed. Location was wonderful. Some workman began work too early near me, but but think this was a unusual occurance. Everything else was wonderful. Dont hesitate to stay here. You will love it.

great location, helpful staff, but noisy

Great location generally, although is situated between two nightclubs so heard the banging of the bass in our bedroom in the afternoon and at night. The receptionist did say that had we complained to them, they would have got the club to turn the music down. She was lovely and very apologetic, but it was a little too late for our one night stay.

Very nice hotel especially Americans that are used to cl a good AC and wash clothes (been told it’s called a flannel but still nobody has them to bathe with). Staff here were so accommodating I was very late checkout got another night and they had me a room and moved my belongings to it already when I got there.

Next door to a night club with loud base until 3am!! They don’t tell you this and when confronted, state that it’s a one off. Looking now at past reviews, lots of ‘one offs’ then. Excuse is that it’s in the city centre….. we have stayed in many city centres and never had this issue. obviously an issue they keep ‘quiet about’ as lots of ear plugs available at reception. Considering we were there only to sleep! I looked up the night club and the hotel offers 10%off to those that attend! Shame as the room was clean and comfortable. Guests should be aware of this prior so that they can decide if it’s an issue.

My only dislikes with the room were 1 The T.V. was situated on a side wall where if you were viewing from the bed you would have to lay on your side to watch. 2 The room had only one chair. As the room was booked for two persons i would expect two chairs which would have it made it more convenient for my wife and i to watch the T.V. in the evening

Hidden gem

A new hotel to me and handily situated in the middle of Canterbury. On a hot day the air con in the bedroom was greatly appreciated. Clean smart urban decor and a 24hr bar also welcome. Good choice at the buffet breakfast (included in cost) and staff were all polite friendly and helpful. Will definitely stsy here again.

A nice central hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Great buffet breakfast. The room was a decent size, and nice and clean. Just one problem... Despite there being plenty of room, the double bed is positioned so that one side is only just over 1 foot from the wall. To get in and out of bed, I had to walk sideways (and I'm not overweight). I really can't imagine the thought processes that led to such a bizarre decision

Pros and Cons

First impression was poor with dirty musty carpet in the hallway. The room is small with limited cupboard space, would suit weekend travellers. There is no fridge but there is a safe. The worst part the mattress is the worst I’ve ever slept on! Hard with no padding at all (can feel the springs!) and is either very cheap or very old. Unacceptable, and the most important part of a hotel room is an abject failure here! Annoyingly got an email midstay inviting to feedback how it was going, but it’s a ‘no-reply’ and you can’t reply to it! Don’t send those. There are positives. Good aircon (though annoyingly turns itself off during the night), great shower, and great location. The included breakfast is basic but fine. Note only parking is at the nearby carpark at £25 per night. If they upgraded the mattresses and cleaned the common areas would get 4-stars, instead it’s only 2-3 stars.
