Originally built to be a homestead, it boasts a spring fed pond, creek, several species of nut trees and a history of all natural fruits, vegetables, pork, free-range chicken and grass-fed beef and lamb. A once private property owned by the Strack family, Rusted Route Farms opened to the public for the first time with Jones Heritage Farm and Market. Heritage Farms brought the community to feast with its delectable brunch and a wide variety of all natural goods.

This Beautiful Home has one of the most amazing picturesque settings, with its spring fed pond with water fountain to its 1900s Sears Barn Kit that now is used as a wedding and events space, this property truly is one of a kind! It also is home to many out door setting spaces to enjoy. The Farmhouse has a large island with barstools in the center of the kitchen with all the amenities to cook a large family dinner and host it in its even larger floor to ceiling brick dining room with plenty of seating and a beautiful wood table! The Living room is nestled right in the heart of the home and has a wood fireplace and view of the existing historic buildings out its bay window. The mast bedroom has a very large bathroom with soaking tub, glass shower, and his and her vanities. The master Bedroom also boast and addition bedroom with two small twin beds great for children or additional guest. There are two more bedrooms upstairs that share a very nice bathroom and all bedrooms have vaulted ceilings that give it that true farm house feel. The front porch wraps around two side of the farm house and has one of the largest porch swings you have ever saw. It's a great place to swing and relax in the shade and see all the farm has to offer.

As a guest you have access to our lovely wrap around porch and swing, the spacious grounds behind your home great for a picnic or family football game. Our lighted path and pond with gas fire pit and seating is a perfect way to end the day. We are happy to offer a tour of Rusted Route and the history of our venue. Our property is only 6 miles of Highway 55 and located 6 miles to Jackson and 7 miles to Cape Girardeau. Less than 1 mile away is a well stocked Dollar General, Door dash, Uber Eats and many restaurants deliver to the property.

Multiple golf courses and shopping centers are within 10 miles. Jaycee golf course, localy famous Pilot House restaurant is less than 3 miles away and the historical Trail of Tears National Park is an easy 10 mile country drive.

We have the best of a quiet country stay and access to well rounded activity and food.
