Great waterfront location, good hotel

Hotel staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. Made us feel very safe & even walked us to the ATM. Hotel was nice but not a luxury hotel by any means. Room service menu & breakfast very limited pillows were giants stuffed blocks with no give.

We booked at The Winchester last minute because of canceled flights and we were thrilled we did. The staff was friendly and the included breakfast was amazing. The location in Sea Point was great. Lots of walking and decent access to restaurants and shopping. We took in the sunset every night at the hotel bar, which had wonderful food and great cocktails. We will certainly consider staying here again.

Great stay!

Great hotel, beautiful view. Our only suggestion was to have a pillow menu, because the ones on the bed were so bad. Also, parking was pretty expensive considering you pay so much for a room, it should be complimentary. Otherwise we loved it.

I loved the stay at Winchester. Very well located in sea point in a beautiful property. Breakfast was delicious, there was parking available for very little additional price, and staff was simply fantastic, vey thoughtful and friendly. I had to checkout around 5 am for and early flight and they prepared a breakfast box to go.

Perfect spot

Perfect location for us. The hop on hop off bus stop was just over the road and Ubers readily available for going out at night. 10 mins by car to V&A harbour and Camps Bay was 10 mins in other direction. Friendly and attentive staff although on occasion the service was quite slow - but we learned this is the South African way so went with it.

The Winchester was a wondeful place to stay. Less than 10 minutes by Uber to the Waterfront and close to Camps Bay. Sea Point also has some nice dining options and shopping. We felt safe walking around this area, even in the evening The hotel itself is beautiful. The inner courtyard with the bougainvillea is postcard perfect. The service is great and the rooms are nicely appointed and clean. We would love to return some day.

Very beautiful property. Friendly front office staff. Room was large and clean. Restaurant staff were not particularly attentive and the menus lacked vegan options, if they were available the restaurant staff weren’t sure and couldn’t make clear to us what was or wasn’t available for breakfast or for lunch.
