Come experience this amazingly charming vacation get-away! built in 2020. Everyone will enjoy this large,1800 square foot, functional open floor plan with double height beach friendly vacation home. It has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, with high ceilings and fans in every room, big windows and well-appointed furnishings.

This house is on 3 lots situated on totally private cul-de-sac and less than 5 minute walk to pristine sand beaches. Or, you can travel by golf cart, included with the rental, on our sandy native trails… no cars, no crowds or paved roads!

A private, heated pool that includes colorful lighting for evening swim time calls you to relax and enjoy the slower pace of North Captiva, a tropical island paradise. Put your feet up in your comfy lounge chair on an oversized travertine pool deck while you soak up the Florida Sunshine or chill out in the shaded sitting areas. Envision serving meals cooked on a Weber gas grill at the pool side table. Also on the lower level there is an expansive covered deck complete with a private outdoor shower and on the main level there is an open deck overlooking the pool and a large screened in porch.

You’ll find the roomy master suite on the main floor comforting with a king bed and in suite bathroom, complete with walk in shower. The 2nd bedroom, also on the main floor, has a king bed and an adjacent bathroom. There is an over sized 400sf loft upstairs with 6 twin beds, ample tv area for kids, with its own temperature control, a full bathroom and quaint barn doors making it a quiet place for anyone to sleep. Each bedroom has a TV. Other amenities include blue tooth enabled whole house stereo system, pool deck chaise lounges, beach chairs and beach towels.

There is a linen closet and washer & dryer on the main floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare a large meal for a crowd or an intimate dinner for two. The attention to detail in this fully outfitted kitchen is amazing… granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, extra large refrigerator with an ice maker and water dispenser and most important, the large pantry to store all those groceries.

All of this is beautifully secluded and yet a short walk to the NCIC club with all its amenities available to you. Play some tennis, basketball, kayak or bike ride, swim in the heated pool or simply enjoy food and drink at the pool bar.

This vacation rental home is located on North Captiva Island. Remote and undiscovered, North Captiva Island is accessible only by ferry, private boat or small plane. Just 3 miles off shore, this tropical paradise is part of the Lee Island Coast barrier island chain in South West Florida. Nearest airport to fly to would be in Fort Myers, Fl. Travel by golf cart or bicycle on our sandy native trails. Here, you will find no cars, no crowds or paved roads. North Captiva Island offers a small town impression with just enough amenities to suite your family needs. Guest will also have club access to : club pools, club hot tub, club bikes, club kayaks and club tennis court.

***GETTING TO THE ISLAND***

You can fly either to Fort Myers or Punta Gorda airports, they are approx. 30 min away from the ferry that will take you to the island.
You can access the Island by ferry or water taxi. Please note that when you rent this house, you should NOT take NCIC (North Captiva Island Club) ferry to go from the mainland to the island. You should only book with these 3 ferry companies: Island Girl Charters, Boats & Fun or Emmy Girl Charters. They charge about $29 per person.
As another option, you can book a private water taxi for your whole family for approx. $250.
You will leave your car at the parking lot of the ferry, it is a safe place, they charge $10 per day, if you want to save this money you can arrive at the Marina by Uber.

***GROCERIES***

In the island, there is a very small grocery store called Mangos, just with basics, if you have something missing in the middle of your stay, you may find it there, but it is not a place to buy all your stuff from.

A) You can buy and bring your groceries to the ferry and they will load them up together with your luggage.

B) If you don't want to carry groceries, you can preorder anything you need before your trip, our managers will fill up your fridge and pantry with all your groceries before your arrival. Please note that they will charge a percentage service fee for anything they buy for you. When you make a booking, they will send you a package with with the order forms for your groceries in case you want to go with this option.


***GETTING TO THE HOUSE***

When you arrive to the Island dock, our managers from "Tortuga" will meet you at the dock where the ferry drops you off. They will take all of you, your luggage and the groceries to the house and they will give you your golf cart, so you can move around the Island. They will show you the house and answer any questions you may have. They will also be available during your stay for any needs that you may have, like buying extra groceries, medicines, etc.
For check out, they will come to the house and pick up your luggage, and you will drive the golf cart to the dock where your ferry leaves and meet them there. The house is about 2-minute golf cart drive from the docks (Bernacles).

The island also offers miles of nature trails for hiking and exploring, over 600 acres of Federal Wildlife Preserve is one of the island’s many treasures. Miles of pristine and un-populated beaches, and depending on wind direction…always a calm beach to enjoy somewhere on the island.
