Great place to stay

We had a great time at The Carnoustie hotel in a deluxe golf view room with balcony. Some things were a little worn but it didn’t spoil our stay. Balcony was lovely to sit out on and the view over the course was amazing. There were some renovations going in but they didn’t affect us. Staff were amazing and couldn't be bettered. Loved our stay

Bed was very hot in down duvet - no sheets to use instead. Nice spacious junior suite that we upgraded to but bed same size as normal, same coffee machine and disappointed there was no Elemis toiletries as stated. Bed side table was not in good condition. Not sure it was worth the upgrade.

Staff are exceptionally good; friendly, interested and professional. Food generally very good - we thought that the evening meals were excellent! One or two relatively minor problems. The problems with our room were swiftly resolved by the excellent reception staff, which was great! In the room we had difficulty getting a refill of decaffeinated pods for the coffee machine, and we did think it odd that a hotel of this standard didn’t have in-room safes. The walls are completely devoid of pictures/artwork which is a shame.

Great hotel. Had a 1 night stay in a family room which was great. Hotel has been invested in and was being upgraded but it didnt detract from our stay. Very clean and modern and staff were great. New Leisure facilities are fantastic. Restaurant and Lounge great also. We had a great time.

Hotel was spotless, the facilities were excellent and staff lovey. Our room wasnt quite ready when we arrived so we went to use the facilities. Staff were helpful, showing us where to go. Towels were provided and the pool and changing rooms were spotlessly clean. The pool is the warmest i have ever used, was like being in a bath! There was also a jacuzzi, steam and sauna. We checked into a lovey room overlooking the sea and putring green. Room was also spotlessly clean. We had drinks in the restaurant, bar staff very nice. My little girl got a little restless so we ordered room service instead of sitting in the restaurant. I had a special- monkfish which was one of the best meals i have had in a hotel to date, made even better having it delivered to our room. Loved our stay here. Will be back again soon.

Great place for a February getaway

Just a weekend away in February. Pretty dreich outside and bitterly cold, so it was a time to hunker down but our room provided space for board games and a TV. Bar was good. Swimming pool was also very good. We visited Dundee and St Andrews. I can imagine this would be beautiful in good weather but it was a lovely retreat.
