"Southern Exposure" is a beautifully decorated duplex with great panoramic views of both the ocean and canal from the top level kitchen, dining and living rooms.
Located in a quieter area of Carolina beach, our home has 6 spacious decks to sit back and relax either by enjoying the sunrise on one of the ocean facing decks, or the breathtaking sunset from one of the canal facing decks.
Take the stairs or elevator to relax and enjoy our Island Oasis of 3 levels of living space. The first floor has 2 queen BR’s, one with an en suite bathroom. Each with private decks. Another BR with a twin over full bed, as well as a full bath are also on this floor. The 2nd floor has 2 queen master BR’s with en suite bathrooms, both with jacuzzi tubs and stunning private deck views.
The upper level level has a spacious living room, kitchen and dining area with breathtaking views.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make your stay convenient, including ample granite counter space and 2 bar areas with stools to socialize while watching the chef cook. Stainless steel appliances, ice maker and wet bar are there to start your “Happy Hour” after a day at the beach, and continue out on the deck while enjoying the incredible sunset!
There are 4 TV’s throughout the house. A gas grill, guest storage locker with ample space for your gear, as well as beach chairs , umbrellas, beach cart and assorted beach toys available for your family. The back yard is perfect for a game of cornhole. The beach is a 3 minute stroll. Perfect for allowing you to go back and forth to your vacation home for lunch or a break from the sun and then return to your beach setup. Enjoy morning and evening beach walks, or an afternoon walk on the beach to the pier for great food or a cocktail at "High Tide" . Afterwards, enjoy showering off the sand and salt in the enclosed outside shower.
Parking for 4 cars makes Southern Exposure the perfect location for a relaxing and memorable family vacation! Linens and Bath Towels provided by professional service . Beds will be made for you upon arrival!
Great restaurants and activities are just a short drive or a 1 mile walk to enjoy what Carolina beach has to offer.
Explore the aquarium at Fort Fisher, CB State Park. Take the ferry to Southport, or enjoy the culture of the city of Wilmington. All just a short drive from CB.

WEEK AT THE BEACH

We only had one week to get together as a family this year at the beach. We found this unit and it looked like it would fit our needs perfectly, and it did. We had plenty of room for the eight of us, it was very well kept and maintained, beautiful on the inside, a short walk to the beach and close to the boardwalk. Away from the resort, hotels and a decent location. We would definitely stay there again! Great for a large family!

Nice Family Spot

Quiet neighborhood in late April. Elevator was useful. Kitchen is huge. Ice that there was bottled water provided as Carolina Beach water has an egg smell we weren’t used to. Could have used a few more pillows and don’t forget your beach towels! We really enjoyed the balconies.

Perfect Spot for a Family Vacation

Beautiful home easily accommodated a multi-generational family. Owner communication was top notch. The layout of the kitchen and living space on the upper level was fabulous with bedrooms located downstairs. We found the kitchen was equipped with everything we could have needed; plenty of dishes, silverware, pots, pans, etc. Just a short walk to an uncrowded beach. Plenty of beach gear available in the outdoor closet (a plus). Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect beach house for family gathering

Family girls’ weekend to celebrate our beautiful Jewel! The home was welcoming and well stocked. We had space to share and spend time together plus the bed/bathroom layout provided a little separation for privacy. The owner was very friendly, responsive and provided great information. Fabulous "FIND" for a 50th College Reunion get together w/FRIENDS!

This was an EXTRAORDINARY place to stay at Carolina Beach. Every ONE of my friends who joined me on this trip RAVED about the SOUTHERN EXPOSURE!! (We talked about how incredible it was ALL WEEK.) We have nothing but praise for our HOSTS who made the booking process, OUR week long reunion together, and the departure process SIMPLE, EASY, and were so welcoming and knowledgeable!! If we could have given MORE THAN 5 STARS for an OVER ALL RATING FOR EVERYTHING - WE WOULD HAVE!!

Great place and great time

We had an awesome time at the beach. The house was great. It was exactly as advertised. It’s located close to everything at Carolina beach but not too close. Access to the beach is very close. Bill was very helpful and communicative. No problems with anything. Will be going back.

Great family vacation at Carolina Beach

Property was exactly as advertised. Property was also the most well stocked VRBO I/we have ever stayed at. It had all the essentials from TP to paper towels to straws and batteries this was not expected and a nice surprise. Location was .9 miles north of boardwalk so close enough to visit but far enough that our section of beach was NEVER crowded. Property had an elevator which helped with our party since my son is handicapped and he really appreciate. Ocean and Canal views were great. Would rent again. Thanks to Kathy and Bill for letting us stay in their home.

Beautiful Home!!!

This property is beautiful and fully stocked. There was nothing we were looking for while cooking or cleaning that this place didn’t have. It’s super clean and beautifully and comfortably decorated. The balconies off all rooms but one were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The beach was in walking distance and lots of other shops, rides, food, ice cream etc were a few minutes away. The owner touched base before and after our stay and went above and beyond recommending places to go for my family and friends. I really can’t say enough good things about this property and the owner. It’s definitely a must stay.

It is a great stay. It is the first time we had the chance to hangout with friends since the pandemic. The house has Plenty rooms for everyone to enjoy their spaces and everything you need you could find in the house. The location is perfect, very short walk to the beach.

Great location and great views

House was great for families with young children. Easy walk to the beach and the home was stocked with a lot of children's items. Owner was great with communication and even advised us of an upcoming fireworks show we were unaware of. Had a great view of the fireworks from the ocean side balcony. Highly recommend.

Family time at the beach

The renting process was easy. The location to the beach great! Easy, non busy walk to the beach. One block from public access. Nice view of the ocean and intracoastal waterway. Short ride by bike, golf cart or car to restaurants and boardwalk.

We loved our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay! Im going to say it was perfect, and that is no small task as our family has not only a large range of ages but also physical abilities. The views of the sound were beautiful…perfect for enjoying my coffee every morning. The elevator was a life saver for my son with CP as well as bringing in groceries & suitcases. It was a huge bonus to have a wagon & chairs to take to the beach with us as well.

We had a small immedieate family wedding while we were there. It was the most perfect house, perfect beach, perfect day. Plenty of space for individual and family time. Great views with lots of pelicans. Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated. Elevator make it so much easier for my parents and for bringing in groceries. Great experience!

Relaxing!

Just what the doctor ordered! The place has everything you need and you have views of the ocean, the town and the waterway with boats. SHORT walk to the beach so no need to bring a cooler full of food. Beautiful beach and not overcrowded at all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
