Our host made contact before our stay to give instructions and offer continued support. This is a beautiful property, a rustic house in the woods, clean and well organized with a big screen TV, outdoor fire pit, and quick access to Roaring River State Park. Very comfortable, super clean and spacious 2 bedroom home perfect for two couples or small family. Conveniently located a few minutes north of the park, camping areas and fishing zones. Located near the road yet feels very private. Kitchen is efficient with nice utensils and cooking items. Nice wrap around deck and fire pit. The host is responsive and provides clear instructions. When we had a minor misunderstanding about the number in my party, the host quickly addressed the error. One unexpected additive cost is the requirement for either a substantial refundable damage deposit or selection of a 3rd party renter’s damage/insurance rider. This is required to finalize reservation at the time of payment. If I were an owner I would probably want to do the same.This was an entirely enjoyable, satisfying experience. We truly felt like guest. Upon departure, we wanted to leave things as nice as we found them when we arrived.Next time during peak season when you are ready to spend 200/night on a standard hotel room, consider House in the Trees as a much larger, cleaner, nicer, better, house-cabin. Oh, and it has a massive television if it rains or happens to be game day.

Good and Questionable

I was looking for a last minute get away for my family and this weekend was booked pretty much Cassville wide but this cabin was available on VRBO. The details of the posting said it slept 6 adults. It was only a two bedroom home but we let the host know we were taking a blow up mattress for our 5 guest staying. The host questioned our intention of booking, as she should, but I explained our sleeping accommodations and she agreed she felt better about us booking. The check in process was great. To enter the property is a safety concern especially when you have teenage drivers with you but once you get to the property it is a nice area and the cabin itself is great, clean, and you can tell the host takes pride in the property. We were there in July and with temperatures being hot the back bedroom was very hot as it has no AC available. The other bedroom and living room has AC. One thing I learned from this booking is to pay attention to the fees upon booking. This particular cabin/host fees rise on a per night basis if more than two people book the cabin. At times I’m not a fan of written communication due to not being able to hear the tone and possibly reading into a message out of context but the host and I struggled on our communication when asking about the host fees. I hope you find this review helpful in your journey of booking this cabin.

The house was nice and clean. The deck could have used some attention. But overall nice place. The entrance was pretty scary to come in and out of because the traffic thru that area is busy and fast. The main entrance was blocked by a down tree.

Very nice cabin in the woods

It’s a very nice cabin in the woods. Very comfortable, clean with a nice large screen TV to watch. Very relaxing and a short distance from Roaring River State Park. It does have several steps up to a deck to enter the cabin. We would recommend this cabin as a great place to stay.

Roaring River trip

This cabin was fantastic! I feel like the host put a lot of thought into what is important to a guest and it was the little things that made this stay even more enjoyable. The host was easy to communicate with and the cabin was perfect for our group. We come to this area 2 to 3 times a year to trout fish and this is by far the more enjoyable stay we have ever had in the Ozarks. The property is beautiful and quiet. Close to the river and very comfortable. We will be back

I like the location and the property although close to the road fairly quite. The only thing was a small bathroom. BTW the owner left eggs fresh and boiled, grapes, bananas and chocolate muffins with half a craft of orange juice. Was very nice.

Great Getaway Location

This home was a perfect place for my husband and me and our dog. It was quiet and tucked away but close to Roaring River. It gave me a place to read and soak in the beauty of spring while letting my husband get in plenty of fishing. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen and on the deck, and we were centrally located enough that we could wander around looking at things and end up in Branson for dinner.

After a few hiccups on the registration , probably of our own making, we were able to spend time at the house. There were two of us, 
. my sister and me It was very clean and was equipped well. It was also very thoughtful of the owner to provide fruit, muffins, eggs and orange juice. How thoughtful is that!!! The stay was enjoyable. Kim Marie was exceptionally kind. Highly recommend this location. Bobbie and Jane. PS. We booked for three of us (all sisters in our 70’s). Unfortunately, the youngest sister’s husband had a stroke the night before leaving so she was not able to go with us ! Tragic as she would have loved to be with us.

Fantastic Experience

Our Second time staying with Kim. Both experiences have been phenomenal! The house is just as stated. Kim has updated the kitchen (looks really great) added a Blackstone griddle and more seating on the deck. Checked in with us to see if we needed anything more a couple of times and was quick to respond with any of our needs. Kim accomodates fur babies as well which is a giant plus for us. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to get away from the hussle and bussle of a heitic work schedule! Even though it is right off the highway it does not effect the peace and quiet! Thank you again Kim, we look forward to staying with you again next year!

Perfect place

This place is just up the hill and only 5 minutes from the best fly fishing area around! The house had everything we needed and the host went above what we expected with just some simple complementary touches. Fruit and breads with some dessert rolls were set out for us to enjoy. Excellent stay for the 4 adults!
