This Castle, perched atop a hill, was completely restored whilst maintaining the spirit and atmosphere of a noble mansion. It can accommodate 12 people in the luxurious comfort of 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.

The history of the castle dates back to 1210, when the Counts Alberti of Certaldo built Caput Aulae at the center of the Val d' Elsa, later transforming it into an elegant country mansion where also the famous actress Julia Roberts has been a guest. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen, living and sitting room, a library, a dining room, a guest bathroom and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath.

On the first floor the villa features a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi bath, two twin bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, one with shower and tub and the other with shower.There is also another double bedroom with outside balcony overlooking the front yard, It is next to its own bathroom with both shower and Jacuzzi bath.

On the XIIIth century tower standing next to the villa and connected through a marble staircase from the living room, there is a double bedroom with its own bathroom with shower a breath-taking roof terrace.

From the garden you can enjoy dramatic views of the undulating, fertile countryside below, as far as the towered town of San Gimignano which is just visible on the horizon to the south.
