Everything was just okay. Not the worst place I've stayed, but nothing that is super special. It was clean enough but the entire hotel runs hot in the hallways and elevator. Our room's AC was off when we walked in and it was 90 degrees in the room. Yikes. It was tough to sleep in. The staff was kind at check in and check out. The shower water is hot but our bathtub had a pretty significant clog. The stay comes with a breakfast

Clean but issues

At check in we were told they had to charge our card an additional hundred dollars for any incidentals and that we could get a refund in 7 to 10 days. The room seemed pretty. Lean and while the pillows where comfortable the bed was very firm. The room was over 80 degrees as the air was off when we arrived and it took all night to cool the down. The toilet wasnt level so it tilted everytime you sat down. We went down for breakfast and they were out of yogurt and milk and waffle mix. I probably wouldnt stay here again.

Decent place

Nothing fancy, but has nice staff and clean rooms. Breakfast is usual fare - pastries, waffle station, eggs, & a meat. Also has coffee & tea station.

We usually stay at Tilton Hotel brands. Usually Ampton Inns. The prices lately at that brand of hotels have been unaffordable. Not to mention that some of their properties could use a little TLC. The Country Inn and Suites in Dunbar has us thinking about switching to Choice Hotels brand of properties! Very welcoming, room was clean and affordable. The staff is very friendly. The only thing that could use some work is the breakfast offerings.

Mouse Making Noise In Ceiling entire stay

The room wasn’t too dirty and everything was fine until we heard a mouse scurrying around and jumping on things inside the ceiling. It was obviously the sound of a small rodent of some sort. We were traveling all day and didn’t check in til about midnight and didn’t notice the sound til about 1am so it was too late to go to another hotel. I recorded the noises we heard with a lengthy video which you could clearly hear it on the recording. I sent the recording to the hotels email address per instructions by the front desk. The mouse sounds lasted all night and up until we checked out that morning. The front desk staff told me I would be contacted by management but I never was. I had to call back twice in the weeks after my stay trying to reach the manager and still never received a call back from the general manager. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN and DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Great stop on a long journey home. Quick search on line and read some good, current reviews, seemed ok. Was pleased that the reviews were right. Great place for a nice test along the road. Good breakfast and super clean and comfortable.

room 112 Not a place for tall people

We stayed in room 112, first the good then the bad. The bed was very comfortable, (but they did have flimsy pillows). The room was very clean. Now the bad... The noise was terrible, it sounded like a generator was running outside our room window most of the night. All we could figure out was it was an air conditioner at another room. The hotel was completely booked so no chance at a change. I will say this, it is an older hotel. The bathroom would be great for a smaller person, not a lot of room. I am 6'1 280lbs. The shower was nice and strong only the shower head was 5'10. The other downfall of the bathroom is what looked like a kids toilet. The door of the bathroom had to be either all the way open or all the way closed. My wife banged her head into the door trying to fix her hair, She's 5'11. So if you are under 5'9..... This might be a great room for you.
