This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.



Getting Around:

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Luggage storage offered Monday- Friday at our main office from 8:30am-5pm. On weekends we recommend utilizing Bounce Luggage storage. Please inquire once booking is complete for the address!

The house was very nice but there is a large construction project directly across the street. It was EXTREMELY loud with noise beginning very very early in the morning. We could actually feel the house shaking at times.

Wonderful stay! Host was good with communication. Only complaint is not being aware of the construction across the street. If you are traveling with kids or want to sleep past 7am I would book a different property. But, overall good stay and great location.

Our stay was great! The home is located in a great location, being so close to island provisions was a plus in the mornings. The property manager was also very helpful and quick to respond when I had to reach out about a lost item. Hope to stay here again!

Pros: The home was wonderful and clean and the location was excellent. We walked everywhere or took short Uber rides.Cons:The parking was very hard. You need to have a small car to navigate between homes. Also we would have liked to have somewhere to sit downstairs in the kitchen area. Maybe stools at the kitchen island. My mom cannot walk well and it was hard to have her upstairs with us in the living area. The pictures made it look bigger than it actually was. Espeially the loft bedrooms.

Disappointing Stay - Not Recommended

Our family rented this 10-person home in downtown Charleston for a reunion in July 2025. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.Parking was a major issue. The listing said parking wasn’t ideal for large SUVs, but none of our vehicles fit in the narrow driveway. We had to park in a garage several blocks away, which cost us hundreds of dollars—an unexpected and frustrating expense.The home had multiple maintenance and cleanliness problems. We found missing lightbulbs in bathrooms, rugs curled into tripping hazards, and what appeared to be blood on a bathroom ceiling. We reported these immediately. The management team was polite and responsive but couldn’t send help until the next day. They also delayed replacing bulbs by asking for photos first.Two toilets had broken flappers, causing them to run constantly. These issues were never fixed, and the ceiling stain remained.The house was poorly equipped for 10 guests. There were only two dining chairs, so we couldn’t eat together. The kitchen lacked basics like measuring cups. Bathrooms had very few towel hooks, and closets had only a couple of hangers.The location was noisy and less desirable than expected. The property sits near ongoing construction with loud traffic and noise late into the night. It didn’t feel safe or peaceful.While the management was professional, many issues went unresolved. Between the parking hassle, maintenance problems, poor furnishings, and noisy location, it was a disappointment!

Beware, animal urine smell overwhelming.

We were so excited to stay at this property. Immediately upon entering the property it had an odor. By the time you got to the second floor the odor was overwhelming. Going to the 3rd floor? Be prepared for your eyes to water and burn from the ammonia of years of urine soaked through the floor boards. I’ve been to kennels that smelled less. We contacted the property managers for advice or perhaps some sort of candle/air freshener. They responded that if we bought them they would reimburse us. (Never happened). If I hadn’t had my children (under 10) and grandmother (over 90) with me I would have left, but it was only a couple nights. The manager was very responsive and seemed as though they were willing to help. The second we left the property we were ghosted. We stayed there early July and to date no response or holding up their end of the bargain. This place while pretty, and good location, is a health hazard. Stay elsewhere.

Lots of space for big group and don't worry about forgetting to pack small items.

Appreciated the communication, and how clean everything was. Really loved that extra towels and body wash etc was provided. We had teenage boys who forgot things. Also after a day at the beach we took multiple showers. Another plus having 3 bathrooms. Kitchen had everything and we couldn't of been happier!

Family Vacation

Our vacation was great! We had a perfect location with this home. The home was well stocked with basics but be sure to bring your own bar of soap. The beds are very comfortable in this home so a good night of rest won't be hard. Parking, however, is very tricky. If you have two smaller cars, it won't be an issue. The house gets two spots. The driveway is EXTREMELY narrow. There are two houses side by side and the driveway is in the middle. My husband is 6'4" and his arm span could almost touch both homes. The driveway goes straight back in to 3 parallel parking spots. My son had a Toyota Camry and he was able to maneuver down the drive to a spot. However, we had a minivan as our second vehicle. Just don't even try. There is a parking garage on King Street and we parked there. The property owner graciously gave us parking vouchers which saved us so much extra money. The garage says it's 24/ day but it never stopped at that. Ask for vouchers! Again, minivan, truck or SUV will not fit this driveway!The only negatives are that the home is extremely old. It has been renovated, which adds charm. However, with an old home comes a musty smell that can't be helped. I suggest an extra candle and room sprays to help overcome the odor. Also, during Summer months it can be a little warm even with air conditioning. We brought a box fan with us and the home has box fans in the closets. You will need those to keep cool and keep air circulating.

Great Place to stay with group!

We had a great time staying at this property. The location is great and it’s perfect for a long weekend. My one complaint is that the cleaners were standing on our porch ready to come in and clean a full hour before our departure time at 10am. This made checkout a bit more complicated as they had stuff on the porch very much in the way as 10 of us were trying to pack and ready the apt for check out.

Beautiful House, Great Time!

We had a great time in Charleston! The house was exactly as described, beautiful & very clean. The beds were really comfortable and we loved having coffee in the porch in the mornings. When we first arrived the lock pad on the door was not working. I called the office & they came out to fix it right away. We also needed additional towels then provided (11 women in one house!) and we’re given more than enough!My only complaint would be is the bedroom on the first floor needs to be sound proofed somehow. You can hear every person walking by outside & every noise made in the kitchen. Maybe add a white noise maker in the room? Or make sure your heaviest sleeper in that room. Otherwise, all was great!!

Charleston single house

My 5 friends and I stayed at the property for 4 nights. It was a perfect set-up for us. The right amount of beds, although 2 people did have to share the king size bed. It would have been nice if the king was one that could have been split into 2 twins but still worked for us. The location is great and walkable for most people. But if anyone in your group has mobility issues be aware you will need to drive to sites in downtown or use a form of public transportation. The home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We opted not to cook but it appeared to have the necessary equipment. The beds were very comfortable. The floors do have a bit of slope to them but we felt that only added to the charm. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Disappointing

The size of the construction site across from the Vrbo was insanely massive to not have verbally communicated this info is wild. I definitely felt duped and tricked by putting a tiny byline that said there MAY be SOME construction in the neighborhood. It’s a one full block construction site digging through the bedrock starting at 5am. We were the for my mothers EIGHTIETH birthday so it was upsetting.

Great stay!

The house was spotless & comfortable. I’ve visited Charleston many times, but this was my first stay in the Upper King St area. The neighborhood had a cute coffee shop, sandwich and bar that we visited. I highly recommend this property.
