It was a great stay. Very clean and comfortable hotel. Modern electronic devices in bedroom. Greatand courteous staff. Enjoyed our one night stay. We were in town for Panda festival. Plan to return to the Ballentyne area and will stay at AC Hotel.

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! We were able to go to the hotel right next door to enjoy the rooftop bar. The breakfast was beautiful and delicious as well. Served European style and the staff was so attentive. I will 100% stay here again when I return to Charlotte

Pluses and Minuses

The hotel is in a great location and within walking distance of many restaurants and a pavillion witha beautiful pond. However, the room I stayed in faced the parking deck, which allowed for drivers to see inside the room. There was one driver who actually sat across in his vehicle with the lights pointed directly at the room. The room was very nice...contemporary styling. However, it appears that a previous guest may have done something to the ceiling; and paint was missing in various areas. This should be addressed, as it does not take much to repaint. The vandalism took away from the esthetics of the room. The staff was very professional and friendly; and overall, the hotel is lovely.

The staff was wonderful and kind, especially Tim at the front desk. My only issue is that we got a room with a sofa bed for my kid, and the fitted sheet provided did not fit. We asked for replacements, and ended up getting three other fitted sheets - and none fit. If you are going to offer a sofa bed, please have bedding that fits it!

Never stay at the DOUBLE QUEEN rooms. LOUD NOISE!

The hotel has a large 8 story parking garage that is adjacent to the hotel. We stayed there on the weekend, our room was directly across the street from the said garage. Which by the way all Double Queen bed rooms are on that side. At night all the crazy's come to the parking lot playing loud music, revving their engine and screaming. Initially, we thought maybe the noise will subside after 8pm which was the end of the public parking hours. However, the noise continued on well into 11pm. We had enough of it and had complained to the hotel staff about it. They said they would send someone to investigate. Which I was looking out through my window to see if it was being done. NOTHING. The noise continued on for another half an hour. I let the staff know the next morning as well when we were checking out. Their response was that it's a frequent thing and that there is nothing they could do about it. Unbelievable. The hotels location and the little mall that it sits on was wonderful but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to families or someone who wants a peaceful night.
