The seaside village of Seahouses is 2.5 miles away, so it seems fitting to stop here to stroll around the harbour or take a boat trip to spot seals and puffins. Exploring the mighty Bamburgh Castle (6 miles) is a must-do, along with its pristine golden beach and dune-backed landscape.
