Excellent hotel. Really beautiful and clean. Within the hotel compound, it is safe and serene. But this is India, so I wouldn’t recommend walking out on your own.

This is a luxurious hotel in the city served by excellent staff. The rooms are massive (ITC One), well appointed with excellent facilities and air-conditioning. The staff is always willing to help and ensure customer satisfaction. The pool is easily accessible and so is the gym. The bed is massive and they have a variety of pillows to order. Any request is attended to immediately. The breakfast at Madras Pavilion is massive and well stocked.

Amazing to look at / take photos but noisy

Extraordinary building, if not too overwhelming as a hotel. Great spa. Unfortunately it's right under flights taking off from nearby Chennai airport so at the poolside it's constant flight noise and could hear airplanes from inside room all through the night. Really comfortable bed, great linen. Great breakfast, but also noisy in restaurant with very irritating piped music. Also too noisy with music in lounge. Try turning down the noise in hotel you can reduce please, if you can't stop airplanes (but maybe need to update window insulation)! Bathroom fittings a bit old / sharp. Kitchen / living area in apt. very dated and quite scruffed. Very few furnishings / ware.

Impressive hotel and staff

We spent 12 days at the hotel. The 1 bedroom apartment was impeccable, and very comfortable. The staff are very helpful, efficient and accommodating . Check in and check out was easy. There are several options for dining at the hotel. The dishes at the buffets and a la carte dining are well curated and substantial. The fine dining restaurants are all exceptional. The in-house spa is luxurious, the staff and treatments are professional.The pool and surrounding gardens are beautiful. The hotel takes security very seriously, and we felt safe at all times. We will definitely stay there again.

For a hotel of this class I expect impeccable maintenance around mosquitoes. I had to get a room change in the middle of the night due to mosquito menace. The management seemed oblivious. I found mosquitoes even in the lobby. Given the dangers of mosquitoes in India people choose establishments like this to get a safer environment. This was outright disappointing. I would likely avoid this establishment in future visits. This is sullying the ITC Grand Brand. Hope someone would take notice
