Weekend away

Long weekend getaway with my husband. The hotel had onsite parking. The parking is third party but very easy to use. Location is right off a main freeway so it’s really easy to get too. The hotel is maybe a tad outdated, but I think that is to be expected for a hotel in this price range and in an older downtown building. You cannot beat the price and location. Within a mile walk to all the places we wanted to go. The room was clean. The only complaint I would have is no refrigerator in the room. I know this is not something hotel always have but it seems they more often than not do. I would stay there again.

I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and well maintained this property is. It's a classic downtown hotel so it's kind of a maze to get around, but once you've mastered that, it's a fantastic stay! One of the few downtown hotels with a pool, plus the parking was convenient and the cheapest I could find for this area of the city. The restaurant was tasty (especially the raspberry cheesecake!) Service was excellent. Towels were soft and big. Bed was super comfy. I would definitely stay here again!

Wallace was so friendly to us, he gave lots of recommendations to us and he’s right about them, they’re super awesome. This place hold your luggage before and after check ins and outs. I would recommend this place to everyone, the furthest we walked was 25 minutes to the bean.

The hotel staff are amazing! I had to request help a couple times and everyone that I talked to was so kind and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel has a no smoking rule, however the whole floor and room smelled of pot. I went to the front desk and they were very helpful to put me on a new floor and they very graciously upgraded my room. However that floor spelt very moldy and the overall cleanliness of the hotel (carpets, dusting) was below standard in my books. You do get what you paid for - and for Chicago this was a great price. So decide on what you prefer! The mold/damp smell was only in the hallway and not in the upgraded room.
