The Hilton Garden Inn is in a very convenient location near dining, shopping and entertainment. The Grand CTA station is literally steps from the lobby front door. It is a great place for leisure and business travelers alike. The building and rooms are modern and well maintained. However, the area is a bit noisy considering it is in the heart of a large city.

VERY good location- you can literally exit the Grand Ave train station, look up, and there’s the hotel. Very close to shopping and the major Chicago tourist stuff. I wish the staff and amenities were as great. VERY uncomfortable mattress- we have a $300 mattress from Amazon at home that is more comfortable than the mattress in our room, which felt like the old- school metal spring mattresses. My wife specifically said that her back would hurt when she got up every morning bc of how uncomfortable the mattress is. Lots of other issues in the room- difficult climate control, bathroom door that got stuck when it closed, and the stopper on the bathroom sink was disconnected from the sink. Staff does not make an effort to inform you of anything, We had to discover the complimentary coffee on our own. Our questions about good local restaurants were met with shrugged shoulders from the staff who supposedly lived in the area. Lastly- I dont know if this is unique to the location or if this is standard for all Hilton properties- but there is a $100/night “security deposit” that the hotel holds on your credit card and continues to hold 4-7 days after you leave. We did not learn about this until check in. That was $400 that we had budgeted for our trip that Hilton/the hotel got to “hold” until well after we left. If I could do it over again, I would get a different hotel in the same/similar area, and probably not a Hilton.
