We stayed here for our Sailor's graduation and it was wonderful. Gave us lots of dining options nearby and there is a park with lots of paths to walk. We booked a hotel after graduation that was closer to the airport that was twice as much as this hotel for our last night in Chicago and it was so uncomfortable! The beds at the Holiday Inn were so comfortable and we totally wanted to return back to this hotel instead of the "5-star" one we were at on our last night. The only reason I gave a lower star on the conditions was because of the elevator. It was making noises and sounds like it needed to be serviced. We took the stairs because of that.

It’s close to many things in the area. The downside is having the pool open to 11 pm. Kids screaming carries through the facility from pool area. Really loud. Rooms were nice.

The property is in dire need up maintenance and upkeep. New paint, carpet cleaning, etc. There are paint chips and holes all throughout the hallways and in the guest room/bathroom. The caulking around the sinks and tub is dirty, lifting, moldy. There are significant stains on the carpets in the hallways and in the guestroom. There is an old musty/moldy smell throughout. We checked out the next morning.

Clean but things were Out of order

This hotel was clean and the customer service was good. I requested a room closer to the elevator for a family member that had a little trouble walking and they provided that and I am very grateful. The only problem is that there were a few things out of order. The elevator was out of service from 11:00 pm to 10:am the next day. We called the desk and asked how long until it was fixed and she just stated simply she did not know. I was worried that my family member had to take a long walk down the hallway and down the stairs because we stayed on second floor. I was worried that the elevator wasn’t going to be fixed in time of checkout but thankfully was by then. The pancake machine and juice machine were also out of order. Overall , other than those things it working the stay was good. Oh they had great coffee in the lobby also !
