Stay in style at this bright and Boho studio, located in the heart of Chico! Modern minimalism meets iconic Southwest-inspo in this brand new build to create a space that is ideal for a weekend getaway. Finished in the spring of 2021, the Casita de Chico is a spacious ground level studio that thoughtfully blends industrial vibes with a relaxing atmosphere to create a space you’ll love to stay in!

The Casita is located in the coveted midtown neighborhood, blocks away from both Bidwell park and downtown Chico. Whether it's nightlife or nature that's calling your name, you can access both with a short stroll up or down the street.

This charming residential neighborhood is composed of tree-lined streets that will lead you straight to cozy coffee shops, cute boutiques, and a variety of restaurants serving up Mexican, pizza, Thai, Chinese, sushi, classic pub fare, and plenty more (including many tasty vegan options). The CSUC campus located on the other side of downtown, just a 15 minute stroll away.

On sunny days, enjoy the concrete swimming pool located at One Mile, or any of the many creek spots, a few blocks south of the Casita. In addition to swimming, Bidwell Park offers plenty of picnic-perfect grassy areas, scenic walking trails, and a must-visit storybook-themed playground for the kiddos.

Grocery (including a natural food store), pharmacy, and convenience stores are all a quick drive away so you can stock up on any essentials for your trip!

Tucked away from the main street, the Casita offers a private walkway at the rear of the main building, so you’ll truly feel like the space is all your own. Upon entering the studio, you will be greeted by smooth concrete flooring, dreamy rattan pieces, and an inviting king-sized bed. Open living space also features a wall-mounted 55” flat screen tv and a comfortable sofa with a hidden Queen-sized mattress for extra sleeping space.

Elevated kitchenette is equipped with a large mini fridge and freezer, microwave, sink, toaster, and the essential utensils and cookware to make yourself at home. Sleek and modern bathroom features a spacious, fully-tiled shower with a convenient built-in seat.

Enjoy a sunny afternoon on the private patio, or let your furry friend stretch their legs out on the gravel yard! Plus, the Casita is located blocks away from Bidwell park, the gem of Chico! Filled with walking paths, nature trails, and refreshing swimming pools, the park is a must-visit for travelers with pets.

With grocery stores, coffee shops, and plenty of spots to eat nearby, nearly everything you may need during your stay is easily accessible on foot or bike. If you feel like venturing a bit farther, the B-Line bus runs all across town, with the nearest stop right by the Gordo Burrito taco truck - considered the best in town! Traffic in Chico is typically light, but parking downtown can fill up quickly. There are two metered lots and a covered garage, all with waived fares on the weekends!

Please note that The Casita is attached to the main home, and has a small occupied unit above. We have taken every measure to make this space truly feel all your own - from the private walkway around the back to the fenced-in patio and yard, the entire space is all yours for the duration of your stay!
