First off the property has recently had a fire. I was a little skeptical when I saw a couple engaged in open drug use in the parking lot but they quickly moved on and I know the motel has no control over this. The beds were comfortable and the room was extremely quiet. Not an overly clean hotel but not dirty either.

The window is tapped up with scotch tape, the air conditioning is dirty. The floor is separating, the room is 50 years out of date. The first room they tried to put me into was smokey and I have asthma. I complained to the staff. The staff at reception tried to blame it on somebody smoking outside when nobody was there. I finally got a change. The hotel reminds me of the Braidwood In from Plans, Trains, and Automobiles.

Even though the rooms were nonsmoking they smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. The overall cleanliness of the room was very poor as well. When the issues were brought up to the staff they said they would cancel the stay and then I could cancel Expedia about a refund. This was a lie, as after multiple attempts Expedia has stated they cannot get the approval from the alpine inn manager to process a refund.
