Room very comfortable with bath and separate shower. However, poor service at breakfast as it took 30 minutes to get two poached eggs to my table. Arguably the simplest breakfast request, even for a busy kitchen. Ordered from one staff, followed up twice with another then a third follow up with another. Also had to get my own coffee (order separately for $7 NZ, despite seeing others getting their PRE-ordered coffee delivered to their tables. It was after 9am when I was done and I had to rush to pack in a rush and had no time to use the shower. After some initial resistance at reception when I asked them to waive the $7 for extra for the coffee charged to my room, they let me go without having to pay. C’mon guys, it’s poached eggs, haven’t you seen Alex Polizzi Hotel Inspector?? Anyway, thanks for letting me have the coffee as compensation for the somehow muddled breakfast service

Bed and bathroom were nice, room was spacious. Lack of microwave was a huge miss. Having defrosted but still cold lunch that we brought was not nice, and the on-site food options were horrendously expensive, so we looked elsewhere in Christchurch for other food options. Parking was convenient and easy, but also shockingly expensive. I appreciate that there were spoons, glasses, and mugs. I would've really liked hot chocolate sachets provided, instead of so many different types of tea that I won't drink. This form mentions free breakfast, when in fact the booking explicitly said breakfast was not provided for free.
