Staff was fine, but the hotel certainly did not live up to the “excellent” rating on the website. While supposedly smoke free, it smelled like smoke outside of every room I walked past. I asked for a room with no steps to get to, but found it was quite complicated to get to the room assigned—not easy for an elderly woman with a walker. The outside grounds were not kept up , and the place looked like a dump. I would like a refund of my money, as we did not stay the night. I turned in the key and left within 5 minutes of arriving. To advertise as being “excellent” and to label the payment as non refundable is false advertising and basically stealing from the customer. I demand a refund of my payment.

It seems as though the entire hotel has been updated with fresh paint, new carpet, new furniture. They could use better mattresses, the ones they have aren’t the best. We use to stay there every time we went to Ohio, then it started to fall apart. I’m glad to see they have new ownership and much needed upgrades have been made. Breakfast was also decent waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins and bagels,eggs and sausage. It’s not 5 star but it is a good decent clean place to stay. I also would consider it safe as I saw police on the property several times just patrolling
