Lovely old property, does show some signs of wear and tear which is understandable. Good car parking facilities. There was no food available when we stayed,(except breakfast which was good) but there are many good restaurants in the area. A pleasant stay.

We arrived early but we able to check in immediately which was great. Although we didnt ask for one, we were given an "accessible room" which was fine except had I had access constraints, I would not have been able to use the shower (too high) and the tap in the washbasin was virtually impossible to turn on. The hotel itself and the staff were all good.

Lovely hotel

Love this hotel and stay here whenever visiting Colchester for weekends away. Very quaint with lots of charm and character. We always stay in older part of hotel and find the rooms much nicer there. Would highly recommend staying here
