We stayed here while visiting Washington DC, as it's affordable and close to the metro. We stayed here about 6 years ago and obviously weren't expecting the ritz. The entire hotel smelled of strong weed and cigarettes. The room we were first assigned to smelled musty and full of weed, the front staff was great in allowing us to move to a new room which didn't stink. The breakfast was bland, bagels, toast, apples. Waffles if the dispenser worked. The cleanliness of the place wasn't great, and I think the smell of the overall hotel was the worst part. Also, one elevator worked which is fine but it was super slow.

Ok… but never again

This property is just ok. It doesn’t really show well. When I arrived, the building looked abandoned. The most visible part of the building is apparently some sort of conference area with flyers taped to the blacked out windows. As soon as you stepped into the hotel, it was better, but not much. The floors needed to be mopped and there is a very distinctive smell of weed in the air. The young lady at the check in desk was obviously not happy about being at work. Her speech was robotic and seemed unable to smile. The smell of weed was all through the hotel. However, I didn’t smell it too much once I got to my room. The room was decent. It was clean overall, but the shower definitely needed a deep clean. This property seems like it has done just the bare minimum to stay open. I’ll never go there again and wouldn’t suggest it except for out of sheer necessity.

I love the rooms they have for disabled persons. These rooms are large with some amenities. All rooms for the disabled are not equipped with both a refrigerator and microwave. The room I was in had both of the amenities and it was very convenient and conducive to my needs. I really recommend this hotel very highly. I am looking forward to my next stay with them.

The Hotel has roaches. Saw a roach in the drawer. Switched to another rm. Where I poss seen a mice droppings. Saw another roach came from behind the mirror when i was brushing my teeth. The comforter had a stain on it possible blood. the toilet was leaking the inside of the shower floor was dirty. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a Vagrant. 0 Stars... on top of all that the Manager wasn't even there for me to complain. Its was no rm phone in the 2nd rm. Tbh i wouldnt even want another night there in that hell hole. Dirty...... worst hotel i ever step foot in

Gives the hotel name La Quinta Inn a bad rep.

Chose this hotel because of the name. I’ve stayed in other La Quinta Inn hotels and they’ve all been very nice and wonderful places to stay. This was a one night stay while working in town. The elevator looked like there was a shooting or fight that had occurred from the dents all over the walls. The room itself was not very clean. There were bottles of products under the sink area. The shower was mildew/moldy. The curtains were stained. The chair was stained. The blanket was stained. At breakfast there was old food that no one wanted in the warmers because it was not fresh or being replenished at 9:00. The milk was gone. There was no cream cheese for a bagel. The waffle station was covered in batter that was spilled all over the irons and counters. Empty cups were left and no one was around to clean or take care of anything. The water in the shower was at best warm. Not even hot. Sometimes cold. Over all just a poor place to stay.

If price is all that matters, ok. Else steer clear

We stayed in this hotel 1 year ago and it was adequate. This year it was totally run down. Only 1 elevator was working - terrible for a hotel with over 100 rooms. The meeting hall next door was condemned. The pool, albeit early in the season, looked filthy. Hallways were dirty. Furniture and fixtures were run down. Carpets worn out. Our room was smelly. The beds were comfortable. The staff at the front desk were totally distracted as the police were there when we arrived (not sure why). Did not eat breakfast (not sure what was there).

Police were outside everyday. Banging on rooms all night. Hallways dirty and smelled like Marijuana day and night. Scared to go out at night because of the people hanging out around the property. Just not a good experience at all. Room was old and falling apart
