My husband and I had booked an overnight stay at the City Class am Dom from October 13 to 14, 2025. When we arrived, we were told that the water might be turned off for about 30 minutes in the morning, but that it would probably not affect us. In the morning, however, there was no water at all—neither for showering nor for the toilet. We waited several hours for the water to be turned back on. We were told we could check out an hour later so that we could still take a shower. Around 11:40 a.m., the water finally came back, but it was brown and therefore unusable. We went to the reception and said that we had paid for the use of water but had not received any. We asked for at least a partial refund of our bill. We had paid €226.61. They apologized but told us they could not refund us anything.

The hotel is situated right behind the Cathedral and a short walk from the train station. Easy walking to the old town and area felt very safe. The room was comfortable, good shower, good bed and nice breakfast.

This hotel is in a good location. Be aware that a cathedral view room might be obstructed! We only saw the very top of the church. A tree and a building blocked most of it! This room is not worth the extra cost. Very disappointing! Also we could never figure out the room temperature control. Too warm in our room all night!

Great location. Just a few things disappointed me. On the page for the booking, the pictures showed what seemed like a rooftop there as none. During our stay the air conditioner did not work and we had to open the window, it was still hot and noisy. Other than that, it’s clean and convenient

Very convenient to train station and Cathedral. Despite a large crowd in a nearby square to celebrate a soccer game, our room was quiet. Our room had a beautiful view of the Cathedral, which was stunning at night. Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet had lots of options.
