The stench in the room burned my eyes I could not stay here I had to find a different place to stay. There was also no staff it took so long for someone to show up to even check us in in the first place and they were unhelpful when we said the room was unsuitable

The Employee working the desk at motel 6 was extremely rude to me and unhelpful. He didn’t honor my third party booking with hotels.com and kept the non refundable online payment. He said he would honor the booking if I paid him 50$ cash on top of the 70$ that I had already paid online to stay after hours on November 20th 3am-11. This all happened after I had booked a reservation through hotels.com for after hours check in for around 3am- check out at 11. I needed a place to sleep. So not even a full day stay. The problem lies in the fact that Hotels.com doesn’t officially let you book after hours reservations. But I had one key credits I needed to use because I couldn’t afford to pay the 70$ without my credit. So to avoid making a reservation for a booking of a typical check in at 3 on the 20th and checking out on the 21st at 11, I called motel 6 and spoke to someone at their call center who reassured me that if I hung up and then booked a reservation at the motel 6 on olentangy river road for the 20th checking out the 21st on hotels.com that when I arrived to the motel 6 on olentangy river road in Columbus, they would honor my after hours booking for 3-11am on the 20th. It was an 8hr booking for the same day of the 20th. So I booked a room for 70$ online at hotels.com for the 20-21st. When I arrived the front desk person wouldn’t honor the after hours booking I made for the 20th and wouldn’t refund my stay. I lost 70$ and then he tried to scam me out of 50$ cash to stay.

Should be cheaper for the quality of hotel, beds, updates. Bathroom door wouldnt even close because door handle and where it is attached is broken. Obviously, everyone raises their prices for OSU home games but still. Could use some updating.

Smelled like weed when we checked in even though it was non smoking room. Door also did not close and room looked super outdated. We went to this place because it was close to OSU but would skip it and pay a little more elsewhere.

The room had lots of gnats and fruit flies, lots of crus build up in the corners around the baseboards in the bed corners, bed frames broken, stained linen

Didn't get the double bed room I wanted had to sleep with Sister it had paper thin walls our people next door was living there and was in a big fight that lasted quite a while in and out slamming door yelling and cussing and their TV was on sky high blasting religious preaching bed was hard as a brick and then no breakfast no ice and and pool was outside the floors were kinda dirty dryer had a out of order sign on it the reason we stayed was because to be close to the hospital because I had surgery in the morning and we wanted to be close

After a long drive and needing to use the bathroom, both lobby restrooms were out of order. After checking in and going to my room the main light did not work, the fridge door did not close all the way and was warm and the shelf where you can hang stuff was coming out of the wall and the room reeked of smoke. Requested new room and the clerk took me to another room but advised the shower was "difficult" to work. He messed with it for a few minutes and we then decided to move the fridge from that room to my original room where i would put up with the smell and non working light. When I went to plug it in I noticed the third prong in the plug was broken which would be a fire hazard so I declined putting it in my room. The clerk then took me to a 3rd room that was good enough although the water pressure in the shower was practically non existent and if you turned the knob 1/8 of an inch to far either way you either got scalded or frozen. There also was mold in the seams of the tub surround and the ice machine was not working. The general state of the motel seemed to be sad and in disrepair as if no one cared enough to get things fixed. While in the lobby another customer came in to ask for a different fridge as well as theirs had mold in it. I chose Motel 6 based on the website pictures of the room and description in general and was highly, highly disappointed. The price was not worth the frustration and aggravation as the issues made me late for my daughters wedding rehearsal.
