The Old Oven House is a uniquely restored 19th-century village retreat in the heart of Agios Prokopios, offering an authentic Corfiot experience rooted in history and craftsmanship. Once the traditional communal oven and kitchen of the settlement, the space has been carefully transformed into a warm and inviting home by an archaeologist-restorer who preserved its original materials, stone walls, and architectural elements. The result is a bright, character-filled hideaway where the lovingly restored wood-fired oven stands as the centerpiece, creating a truly memorable atmosphere for guests seeking tradition, peace, and charm.

Inside, the 28 m² house features a serene bedroom with two single beds that can be joined into a comfortable double, complemented by antique furniture and views over the village’s historic lanes. The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, fridge, kettle, plates, cutlery, and a moka pot, while the bathroom provides a refreshing shower along with towels, soap, and shampoo. Air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi up to 24 Mbps, and a hair dryer ensure a comfortable stay. Hot water is supplied through an electric boiler activated by the switch on the electrical panel, which typically needs 15–20 minutes to heat before switching it off for safety. With level access and no entrance steps, the house is easy to enter, and child equipment such as a baby cot is available upon request. A keybox ensures simple and flexible self check-in.

The house sits along a charming pedestrian kantouni, just steps from the village square, where a traditional café and a modern café serve local dishes, Corfiot wine, and light meals. Daily visits from greengrocers, bakers, and fishmongers add to the authentic village atmosphere, offering fresh produce right at your doorstep. House rules do not allow parties, pets, or smoking. Check-in begins at 15:00, with earlier entry possible if the house is ready, and check-out is at 10:00. Quiet hours in the village are from 15:00 to 17:00 and from 23:00 to 07:00. As in all of Corfu and many areas of Greece, the sewage system is old and cannot handle toilet paper or waste, so guests must use the bathroom bin.
