About the home

“Beachside Retreat” is a delightful double-storey family home in Cowes just 200m from the beach and 800m from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

Downstairs is the second living room (with tv), Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 (all with built in robes), the main bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate toilet. There is internal access from the garage and the laundry is accessed from the garage. Upstairs is the huge open plan Kitchen with large walk in pantry and Living/Dining Room (with smart tv) providing access to the large upstairs balcony. Bedroom 1 is also on this level with a walk through robe and en-suite (with shower & toilet) plus an additional powder room.

Outdoor Areas

The first floor balcony is accessible from the upstairs living room and has table and chairs for 7 people, plus direct access to the yard via a set of external stairs. The downstairs outdoor covered area (with table & chairs for 8 people & a gas BBQ) overlooks the fully enclosed yard which is perfect for children and also features a hot/cold water outdoor shower on the rear of the garage. The large double Garage has a Fuzbol table, table tennis table, laundry and internal access into the home as well as direct access to the rear yard. There is space to park 2 cars in the garage and up to another 2 vehicles (cars and/or boat) in the driveway.

Please note there are security cameras at the home facing external areas only.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, De Longhi Espresso Coffee machine (uses ground coffee beans), toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There are two wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners; one in the upstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room and the other in the downstairs second living room, there are ceiling fans in Bedrooms 1 and 2 and portable fans in bedrooms 3 and 4.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 9 beds, accommodating up to 12 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): Two sets of Single bunk beds
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Tri-bunk and one Single bed

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
