Two week stay. First week dining was OK. Second week everything changed, schedules, menus, etc. Fewer restaurants and choices at any given time. Sometimes only one restaurant open for the entire resort. The most frustrating thing: after the schedule change, web site was not updated and front desk staff did no really know the changes, so we had to chase and find the open restaurants by walkin from one to the other. It was the week before Easter, but it was not a funny Easter Egg Hunt for us, hunting down what was open and what was not!

We went mid April 2025. It’s the off season so very few people which was nice! Booked a double-bed room and when we arrived they had us booked for king and made us prove we booked double, which they did accommodate. Then they went right into trying to make us attend the timeshare meeting the next day. Guess what I’m absolutely not doing on my vacation?! Property is nice! Bali bed is not sun safe. Amenities are a bit of a secret. Bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows! Friendly staff. Drinks were good. Food left a lot to be desired, desserts are disappointing. Definitely do a snorkeling trip! Sunsets are amazing! Not enough towels and the towel guy will take them if not attended. We did the preferred stay which was nice, recommended.

We had a good time for the most part. Unfortunately we had to miss a whole day basically not being able to sleep due to loud construction two nights in a row we called and they stopped then started again first call was at 1am 2nd time was at 3am so we were exhausted the next day. They did move our room but then that took most of our day away having to pack up and move again. I didn’t like the fact in order to eat all the food you had to be preferred I think that is not cool that was the first all inclusive that I have been to that does that. It was nearly impossible to get beach towels if you’re not to the boxes by 8:30am. They don’t refill them either. Food was amazing and the beach that’s about it. Rooms were pretty good as well other than the noise issues.

This is a great property. It is older and needs some love but still a great property. Dinning is top notch. Service is top notch. The resort as a whole is slightly dated but still a great value. It's out 3rd trip here so it's not bad. Plenty to do outside the resort. Plenty to do and not leave the resort. Awesome for a long weekend away!

We did not have a good experience here. The majority of our meals were "cold" by the time they were delivered to our table. Right away on our balcony we had a bee nest. My husband is highly allergic to bees. We reported right away and it was brushed off for a full day. We again were told they would be taken care after the second time we reported it. They finally gave us a new room. We had huge bugs in our new room and we reported two separate times. Again, brushed off the first time and then they said they would re-spray, but they never followed up with us to say they did or didn't. Bugs were in our room on our last day. We understand bugs are not the resorts fault - but we felt they were not taking us seriously and/or didn't care - and never followed up. Overall, a very poor experience throughout this stay.

My husband and I travel to Mexico at least twice a year. We’ve stayed at different secrets around the world and this is by far the worst one we have ever stayed at. You are definitely not getting secrets quality. The hotel was located in a fantastic snorkeling and diving area. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The room was an OK condition but once you stepped out outside of the room it was extremely rundown. We spent most of our time at the upgraded pool. They did have top shelf alcohol, but when they would run out, they would not refill if you sat on the edge of the pool the paint they used would ruin your bathing suit, my husband and I booked a couples massage the facility had multiple areas that were missing tiles windows were extremely dirty and the view was ruined. Not all restaurants are open for dinner and you had to sometimes go to the Sister company if you wanted something different to eat. I would never stay here again.

This is our 4th year in a row to Cozumel trying different resorts. We were really excited to stay at Secrets as we had 6 years ago in Cancun and really enjoyed it! Overall it was a relaxing stay. We chose not to do the "preferred' room area and were thankful we did not. This area was very busy/loud and many visitors from other resorts. The food was better than expected. The beach was nice but the water was not easily accessible due large coral. Once out in the water, was able to see many different types of fish/sea life while snorkeling. They did not do much with keeping up on the large of amounts of seaweed. Other resorts, would rake and remove. Our room was located right off the lobby so lots of noise at certain times of the day but also close to one of the pools so that made up for noise. The housekeeping service were not good. We had to ask 3 of our 6 days for either new towels or to have our mini fridge restocked. The other days we just dealt with it. We even started off the week leaving housekeeping a cash tip as we read reviews to keep us restocked. Nope. We were also approached 4 times by a certain staff who we told upon check in that we were here to relace, to go to sister resort for breakfast (guessing timeshare pitch). Overall a decent stay. When we return to Cozumel, we most likely will stay a Melia again.

very nice place, service and food, drinks were amazing.. if you like to jump in the water and swim, this beach is not for you, because of the coral. But it is beautiful! We didn’t like that as soon as you get there they try to sell you into their propaganda instead of telling you what restaurants you can go to without being "preferred". How to use room service, etc. But overall it was an awesome experience!
